2005 GTO Phantom Black Metallic with red and black leather interior. 6.0 liter LS2 / Six speed manual trans / Posi rear with 81,829 miles. Non smoker,Adult owned / 2nd owner. Loaded with all factory accessories. Aftermarket stereo / have original Blapunkt. 200 watt factory 10 speaker audio system. Factory Alloy wheels. HID headlights, $6000 Pontiac Sport Appearance Package, Dealer installed. Have original window sticker and Dealer option paperwork. Hankook Tires were replaced last year. Both front tie rod ends are new. K+n Airfilter and cold air box. Both polished stainless resonators have been removed but are included. Car stickered at $39685 new. Has 1 door ding above left rear fender well. I can send pictures if requested. There is a carfax report for a left front damage report. The GTO was hit in a parking lot in 2007 by a hit and run driver, the left front quarter was dented. The body damage was between the front of door and wheel well. I have the picture from the original owner. The body repairs were done at a GM body shop according to the owner. The car is in excellent condition. The GTO is financed and still has approx. a $6000 lien that can be released by the Lien holder the same day the lein is satisfied. The GTO is sold as is with no warranty implied or given. Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way
Tue, 21 Feb 2012There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile
Sun, 29 Apr 2012Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
