1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula Convertible 5.7l Lt1 on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula Convertible LT1 5.7v8 I bought this car from a 72 year old collector in Nov 2012 with 38,000 original miles. Car now has 60k miles. All original. No accidents. No rust or rubber rot anywhere. Car always garaged. You will not be disappointed Recently moved to a new condo and I have one too many vehicles. Did a complete tuneup in 2013 with plugs, wires, gas filter, etc... Turquoise original paint is beautiful. Had the car professionally waxed last month. Adult driven. Engine and transmission work flawlessly. LT1 engine same as the corvette. I get more compliments on this car than my wife's new Lexas. Known minor issues: One headlight does not go down. Needs a solenoid. Can raise or lower manually. Also, door lock rocker switch needs replacement. These are both minor concerns and can be repaired at a minimal cost. Parts are less than $100. A/C is ice cold. Convertible top original and works great. Clear title in-hand. I reserve the right to remove the listing at any time since I am listing the car locally. $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Will assist in shipping the car to your destination. Local pick-up available. Email me with any questions you may have, or send me your name and number and I will call you. |

Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
