1995 Pontiac Firebird Formula SLP Firehawk Edition with 56,000 original miles. The car has the 5.7 liter RAM AIR 315hp motor and automatic transmission with Four wheel disk brakes. We have owned this highly documented Firehawk for six years and have only put on 1000 miles a year in that time going to car cruises and shows. The car from the time it was new has only been out in nice weather and never in the winter. The car has perfect Red paint with a flawless Black leather interior, T-tops, Power windows, Power locks, Cruise control, AC, Tilt wheel, Power drivers seat with lumbar, and CD player. We have the original Firehawk floor mats which have never been used, Window sticker with SLP Firehawk documentation as well as numerous other Documents and service records to go with the car. The car will need new tires, they are evenly worn across the tread but are getting hard. Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
