1991 Pontiac Firebird. 2 door coupe. Hatchback automatic. 6 cylinder. Original owner. Car fax included. Has had excellent mechanical care. No accidents, no major mechanical repairs. Driven mostly for pleasure. Garaged, non smoker.

Tires very good. Has been my baby for many years and as the original owner I know all about this vehicle. I have moved and only have a parking space for one vehicle. I travel up north now with my suv , so must sell.

This vehicle has never been abused or driven foolishly. As you see in the listing it is a 6 cylinder. It could use a paint touchup. Because I have not driven it much in the past few years, a few things could use replacement if deemed necessary to the new buyer. Passenger side power window needs attention. headlight motors for flip up mechanism. (headlamps do work, just needs help opening them up manually) Air conditioning needs recharging. I have priced this vehicle to sell as I do not want it to set outside this winter, and I do not want to take advantage of the parking situation. I have put a price with a make offer option. The price does not reflect on the car as being a problem, I just want to make the purchase as attractive as possible so as not to leave this vehicle outside for the winter. We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?

General Motors has made a science out of sharing platforms. So when the company's Kappa platform was introduced for a new rear-drive roadster to be distributed across three different motor divisions, you'd have figured the program was pretty safe, right? Unfortunately for the workers at the Wilmington Assembly Plant which manufactured the Kappa roadsters, those three divisions were Pontiac, Saturn and Opel - three units which the General has either sold or shut down. Which is a shame, because a perfectly good rear-drive roadster platform is a heck of a thing to waste.
In one of the strangest rumors we've heard recently, however, our compatriots over at Jalopnik report that the DeLorean Motor Company (yes, that DeLorean Motor Company) is considering buying the plant and the platform from GM and putting it back into production as a new DMC.
