This is a 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula that is in excellent condition. There is no rust in this car and it has not been modified in any way. It is box stock and original. This car has been well cared for during its lifetime and it shows. I looked for a long time before I found this car and have put a lot in to it during my ownership. The paint and body are in good to very good condition and I would give it an 8 on a 10 scale, there is a small dent behind the passenger door in front of the rear wheel. The interior is fantastic and I would give it a 9 on a 10 scale, no holes rips or tears in fabric and dash is not cracked. The engine and mechanicals are also excellent and everything on the car works except for the A/C which was working this summer but the compressor has failed and will need to be replaced. The car does not leak fluids of any kind in my garage. The wheels and tires are in excellent condition and I found a brand new set of Goodyear VR 50's in 245-50-16 (stock tire size) that are on the car. The odometer shows 58,241, however, the GA title is marked mileage exempt so I am going to assume 158,241 for the purpose of this listing. If you take some time and look at the photos you will recognize that this is a low mileage car in excellent condition. These are becoming increasingly difficult to find. GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems
Mon, 30 Jun 2014General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.

If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
