For sale,1987 firebird formula 350.this vehicle has only 91k miles very clean and solid no rattles doors open and shut with no drop or sag weatherstripping and window fuzzies are in great condition with no wind or water leaks.,gray interior shows normal wear but very respectable.car has new muffler /tailpipe setup from flowmaster car has headers with two cats through flowmaster y pipe and out through fore mentioned tailpipe set up.brakes are excellent tires are excellent,engine runs great and stong. Fuel injection and throttle body have been removed and replaced with edelbrock 650 carb on edelbrock aluminum intake.this car is somewhat rare/odd in that in 1987 Pontiac only produced 1500 formula 350s and they only came in automatic and without T-tops that's the rare part the odd part is that it has no options and no ac like a stripped down racer.Probably the easiest 80s era car to work on under the hood nice and wide open.the formula 350s also came with the the ws6 package handling w/4 wheel disc brakes this thing runs like its on rails and no shakes or rattles

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.

Pontiac Firebird in latest Generation Gap scrap
Tue, 30 Sep 2014Generation Gap is mining the Lingenfelter collection again this week to compare two very different interpretations of the Pontiac Firebird. An original 1968 example goes toe-to-toe with a 2010 Lingenfelter Trans Am to see whether the old man or the modern re-imagining takes the crown.
Being from the Lingenfelter collection, both cars are absolutely immaculate. The '68 packs a Pontiac 350-cubic-inch (5.7-liter) V8 with a claimed 320 horsepower and some classic, muscular style with a hood-mounted tach. Plus, it's painted in an understated shade of green that you don't usually see.
In the other corner is Lingenfelter's pumped-up take on the classic shape based on the modern Camaro, and this is just one of six concept versions ever made. It wears an eye-catching, vintage-inspired livery of blue with a white stripe package. Under its shaker hood is a 455-cubic-inch (7.5-liter) V8 with a reported 655 hp and 610 pound-feet of torque.
