This auction is for a 1959 Pontiac Bonneville Coupe out of Florida. Same owner since 1977. It was his pride and joy. The prior owner has serious health issues now so the family has decided to sell off some of his estate. We were fortunate enough to get this car. The car only has 59,925 actual miles. It has the original 389 V-8 4 BBL, Dual Exhaust, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Padded Dash, Tinted Glass and 2 Tone Paint. The color is called Sunset Mist. It is the original paint with the exception of a few lower areas on both sides of the car that have been touched up with a different shade of paint. Also the roof has been re-painted. I couldnt see that it has any major body work done in those areas so I dont know the reasons for the touch up. This was done many years ago. I did notice the drivers side front floor pan has rust the size of a baseball covered with a piece of tin on the top side. Also both rear body mounts have rust through. A correct patch panel for each area would take care of the problem. The rest of the underside is very nice. Frame is perfect. All inner and outer rockers, braces, pans etc are very nice. The car is super straight down both sides. Doors open and close with ease. All glass is in nice shape. Windows roll up and down nicely. All the stainless and chrome is in very nice condition. There is one tiny ding on the trunk molding and one on the passenger side fender eye brow. Also that headlamp bezel on passenger side has a mark. These look like they can be easily be taken out and buffed back to new. Bumpers are perfect. Grilles are perfect. The trunk has a light that is removable if you are working around the car. The interior of the car is very nice, all original except for replacement carpets. The original carpet had silver threads going through it where this one doesnt but I understand that you can order the correct type. The headliner is perfect. The dash pad isnt cracked but is lifting on left and right sides. With a real good detailing the interior will come out quite nicely. The car is missing the passenger side mirror, the little piece of stainless below the vent window and the correct hubcaps. Brakes have recently been done. Car runs and drives very well. A set of skirts, wide whites, spinner hub caps and a crisp clean paint job would bring the car back to life. Drive and enjoy it the way it is and make it nicer later. These cars are a blue chip investment and are only going up in value. There are not many of these left. We have a clear Florida title and proper dealer paper work for a smooth transaction. We require a $500 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and the balance due 3 days from auctions end. If you have under 20 feed back please contact us prior to bidding. We just want to make sure everyone is on the same page and intends on following thru with the sale. If you need more info or pics feel free to contact us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and sundays.

Tony Stewart to star in Smoke Is The Bandit web series
Mon, 10 Mar 2014NASCAR driver Tony Stewart is making good use of his nickname Smoke in new videos inspired by the 1970s classic Smokey and the Bandit. The original is one of the quintessential automotive movies of its era with a fantastic combination of slapstick comedy and great car stunts in a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. If you've never seen it, check it out immediately.
In the new six-part Smoke IS the Bandit web series, Stewart takes on the role of Burt Reynolds' famous character complete with huge mustache. But instead of trying to smuggle cases of Coors beer it's Mobil 1 oil. The series promises to recreate many of the famous scenes from the movie and includes cameos from other NASCAR drivers.
To complete the look, future videos just need a quality replacement for a young Sally Field to ride shotgun. It would also be really cool if Reynolds could make a brief appearance at some point. Scroll down to check out the trailer and the first episode in the series.
Looking back at Oprah's free-car giveaway 10 years later
Fri, 12 Sep 2014
Oprah kicked off her 19th season in dramatic fashion by giving all 276 members of the studio audience a free car.
Molly Vielweber's Pontiac G6 appears unremarkable at first glance. It wears forest green paint, rolls on five-spoke aluminum wheels, and it has a sizeable scrape in the driver's side door, the scar of a decade's worth of hard use. You wouldn't notice it parked at a big box store or cruising on the highway. Pontiac made hundreds of thousands of G6s in the 2000s, and a lot are still on the road. It's unremarkable in every way except for the front license plate, which reads, "Oprah 6."
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.
