I bought this car with great intentions, but life and other obligations have gotten in the way. It has a built 360 in it that rocks, I have no idea what is in it (as the owner I got it from did not build it.) but I can tell you it comes alive when you nail it. I was going to find a date correct 383 and put it in to make it stock. Make no mistake, this is a project. It is a project that you can drive with little work, the brakes should be gone through as it has been sitting, the clutch should be rebuilt(kit included), the brake light switch(also included) needs to be changed and the heater control switch is dead. The blower works so it is just the switch.
This was built by someone about 10 years ago, they put in new floors and Legendary seats along with carpet. The car is framed underneath with a driveshaft loop. It has the original 3.23 Sure Grip still in it. There is a nice aluminum cross flow radiator as well MSD ignition. In the front there is a disc brake conversion using  an adjustable proportioning valve. It will start and drive as is but don't plan on driving it home. I have gone through the gears and there is nothing wrong with the way the thing drives. There will be no problem driving it on a trailer or car hauler.
I have described this as best I can, one more time, it needs restoration, extensive body work.

The car was used Sunday in a parade driving around with open headers. This car runs, drives, and stops and can drive onto any trailer if needed. The car currently has skinny racing tires on the front and old school racing slicks out back. If you prefer street tires we have a set of after market wheels and tires we can switch to.  This is the car running and driving go look at youtube video Marilla Car show 2014 to listen to car run.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
