THIS 1972 PLYMOUTH SATELLITE HAS A 400 BIG BLOCK I THINK AND ACCORDING TO VIN # IT IS AN H.P. MOTOR IF IT IS THE ORIGINAL I AM NOT SURE AT THIS POINT. VIN# SHOWS IT TO BE A 400 H.P.ENGINE. IT WILL SPIN OVER.  IT TRIED ONCE OR TWICE TO FIRE THAN I QUIT TRYING, DID NOT WONT TO BURN THE STARTER UP.THE OIL IS CLEAN ,I WAS TOLD THE CAR RAN WHEN PARKED BACK IN 1992..PREVIOUS OWNER I PURCHASED CAR FROM LET IT SIT OUTSIDE FOR 2 YEARS. CARPET WAS PULLED YEARS AGO AND SOME DRAIN PLUGS PULLED THAT IS WHY THE FLOORS ARE STILL IN GREAT SHAPE. TRUNK, AND FRAME ARE 99% RUST FREE. I FOUND A TINY HOLE NO BIGGER THAN A 1/4 OF AN INCH, UNDER THE BRAKE PEDAL WORSE RUST ON CAR IS WHERE THE VINYL TOP WAS ON EITHER SIDE OF CAR I THINK THE TWO AREAS CAN BE CUT OUT AND PATCHED. IT IS NOT EVEN VISIBLE THROUGH THE INSIDE OF CAR, MUST BE 2 LAYERS OF METAL. SO IT WILL NEVER BE SEEN WHEN REPAIRED. AND OTHER SPOT IS ON LOWER PASSENGER DOOR AT REAR, IT IS ONLY ON THE OUTER SKIN. AND PROB.WOULD REPLACE THE LOWER REAR QUARTERS PATCH PANELS I SEE SOME BUBBLING UNDER PAINT, NOT SURE HOW BAD THEY ARE. DO NOT APPEAR TO BAD. THEY ALSO WILL NOT BE SEEN BECAUSE THEY ARE BELOW THE TRUNK WELL. DOORS OPEN AND SHUT GREAT WITH NO SAGGING. BODY LINES ARE GREAT,  THE CAR IS MISSING THE STAINLESS WINDOW TRIM FOR FRONT AND REAR GLASS, ALSO GRILL IS MISSING, I HAVE THE CLUSTER AND SOME OF THE DUCT WORK FOR THE HEAT AND A/C. CAR WILL NEED DOOR PANELS,FRONT AND REAR, DOOR HANDLES, DASH PAD, ALL INTERIOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED IT IS MISSING MOST OF THE SMALL THINGS, I DO HAVE FRONT AND REAR SEATS, THE SPRINGS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. LOOKS LIKE INTERIOR MUST HAVE BEEN DONE IN THE 70'S.IT IS UGLY RED DIAMOND TUCKED. THE BUMPERS ARE PITTED AND REAR HAS A SMALL DENT. LEFT TAIL LIGHT IS BUSTED. CAR HAS POWER DISC BRAKES, PEDAL IS STUCK SO THEY DO NOT STOP. US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
