Pemberton, New Jersey, United States

This car is worth more than I'm asking. I would like to see a quick sale. I have need for room in the garage for another project. Cash in hand works wonders for a quick sale .

Very presentable 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner. I had my mechanic go over the whole car and it drives and shifts very strong. This is not
A matching number car. The original engine was replaced with a higher horsepower 440 from a 1969 Roadrunner, correct k frame used.
No leaks or oil problems. Been using a 50 weight racing oil with zinc for the past year. Oil changes every 1000 miles.

The interior is in good shape. I pulled all the carpet so the next owner could see the floors are clean and rust free . I have the rear interior ready to go . It will need to have a new rear shelf  package  covering. No tears in the upholstery. Headliner is perfect. New dash cover installed. You will need to install your own choice of carpet color , it's a,n easy install. .

All the instruments work and it has a rare factory tach. Am radio good but needs a new antenna lead on the radio end.

The body is solid but will need body work in the front lower quarters. Also the passenger quarter will need some attention , see pictures.

Exhaust and headers are good. Recommend getting rid of the rear air shocks and replace with regular shocks.
Edelbrock carb and manifold. Hedman  headers.

I have a good set of 17 " chrome Craigers with brand new low profile tires that will go with the car. Also a new kit complete for a rear brake disc installation. Also 2-3 boxes of extra parts.

Need to move this car for a new project a 1953 Daimler.

Car has ac compressor installed and all the ac ducts. Will need hoses , condenser, dryer.
All mechanics are ok , new tires, u joints, trans serviced. Recent tune. Starts ever time. I drive this to car shows up to 100 miles with no problems. All electricals work. This car passed NJ State inspection foe emissions.

Will add more pictures tonight

Mileage on speedo does not match the title but with the age of the car it should not matter, had to change the speedo dash out.  Title read 115,000 , I do have the original dash cluster in a box. Also have the original steering wheel and tee shifter. I have the original jack also.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
