This car was sold at Maryland Motors on January 12th 1970 then traded in at Chandler,Stewart and Woodward Dodge in Fredricksburg,VA in 1974 with only 54677 miles on it. It was then bought from the guy I got it from on October 3rd 1974 and he kept it for 38 years and only put 27474 miles on it until I bought it with 82131 miles on it and restored it and have put just a couple hundred miles on it since finishing the car. I have the original owners manual,Warranty card and insurance cards from the first owner.I have original bill of sale from the Dodge dealer in 1974 and lots of VA state inspection pink slips since then documenting the car and the mileage. During restoration I also found 2 build sheets,1 under the back seat and 1 also under the front seat. So I have both and a copy of the VA replacement title that I got when I bought it. The previous owner lost the original during the 38 years he owned the car.

I tried to tell as much as I could about the car but I could go on for days about. The car is located in northwestern Virginia close to the intersection of interstates 66 and 81. If you want to come look at it please do and I encouge it. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. If you have any questions please fell free to call me Mark Dove 540-671-6350

Why sell the car you may ask, because this is what I do. I am a life long Mopar person and love to see them on the road. I have been working on them for the last 30 years with the last 23 years as a Chrysler dealership master technician. I build/restore super high quality cars to give a lifetime of pure enjoyment and shows. This car is truly a fantastic car that will last and be enjoyed for years to come.

Buyer will be responsible for shipping and a $500.00 non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Car will be sold without any warranty. The remainder of payment can be made in cash at time of pickup.

Thank you for looking, reading and have a great Mopar day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.
