    This is a very nice restored low mileage original rare 'M' code A12 1969 440-6 Barrel Road Runner. Approximately 60770 original miles including about 60 test miles since the restoration was completed. Nearly everything is new or restored to original condition.

    It has a completely rebuilt original 440 engine and Torqueflite transmission. It was bored .030 and has new pistons, rings, bearings, valves, springs lifters, pushrods and oil pump. The crank was turned and align bored. Original factory Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, air cleaner assembly and lift off fiberglass hood. Rebuilt and cosmetically restored Holley carbs. New factory stamped heater and radiator hoses with correct clamps. New reproduction correct date coded small font 054 radiator and power steering cooler by Glen-Ray. Professionally restored date coded wiper motor. New reproduction correct size 24 yellow cap battery with Mopar logo.  Professionally rebuilt alternator. New reproduction regulator and resistor. Correct date coded reproduction plug wires.  New reproduction washer reservoir / pump assy and Voice of Road Runner horn. Correct original or reproduction logo bolts used throughout.

     Rebuilt and restored factory heavy duty suspension and brakes. New ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, shock absorbers, master cylinder with correct cover, wheel cylinders, brake lines, parking brake cables, springs and 11 inch brake shoes. Correct 780 & 781 torsion bars and .94 inch sway bar. Ride height adjustment and front end alignment to factory specs just completed.

     Detailed undercarriage. Original Dana 60 Sure Grip 4.10:1 ratio 9.75 inch differential. Correct original Hemi spec leaf springs. Restored original fuel tank with new sending unit. New reproduction exhaust system to factory specs with original chrome tips and new reproduction hangers. Rechromed original bumpers. Five new reproduction Goodyear G70-15 Red Line  tires mounted on correct dated 4/3/69 H wheels except the spare which does not have the H stamp but otherwise looks correct. Correct dimpled chrome lug nuts and NOS dust covers.

     Correct stock R6 code Scorch Red PPG Concept acrylic urethane for a factory correct appearance was applied to a rust free media blasted body. All original body including the floors. One of only 5 Scorch Red A12 Road Runners in the A12 Registry where it is car #414.

     New Legendary seat covering and ACC carpets. Restored original seat and shoulder belts. New headliner and sill plates. Rechromed original plastic armrest bases. Restored original woodgrain steering wheel and instrument cluster. Restored heater box assembly with new heater core. New AMD windshield. Original side and rear windows have a few small scratches. New trunk mat and restored correct jack. Includes shop manual, laminated wiring diagram, hood display prop rods, documents and receipts.

     Partial VIN numbers on the block, transmission housing, radiator and trunk lip all match the original build sheet, fender tag and dash VIN.  Pictures available on request. 'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.
