I am the third owner of this vehicle since 1951 and it was owned by the original owner for about 56 years. This runs and drives great and can be used for everday driving.This 4 door Plymouth Cranbrook has a 6 cyl. 217 inch cubic inch flathead 97 HP engine with a 3 speed standard on the column. The original bill of sale from 1951 is included and shows the vehicle ID # 12679483 and the Engine # P23 102595 in the photo. The original dealer is " Frankford Sales Company" from Philidelphia Pa.and their logo is mounted on the center of the trunk.This car appears to be ALL ORIGINAL with no repairs and is RUST FREE inside, outside,underneath and in the trunk.One of the trunk photos shows the original woven mat and the other shows it without the mat and the brownish color is NOT rust but a lighter portion of the heavy undercoating. There are no tears in the upholstery or headliner but they could use a cleaning.The Passenger side front fender appears to have been repainted at one time. I purchased the used factory stock pushbutton radio but never did hook it up. The only problems I am aware of is that the gas gauge does not work and the front passenger door does not lock. I had a new float and new gas gauge installed but I think there is some sort of wiring problem. I have owned this car for 6 years and have only driven it 1800 miles. The novelty has worn off and it is time for it to move on to some one else. There have been many of these vintage Plymouths sold here on e bay lately and some have been completely restored,repaired or list all of the parts that have been replaced on the vehicles and none of them included the original bill of sale.I am not a mechanic or a body shop person but fail to see evidence of any replaced parts or body repairs other than what I have mentioned earlier.Call if you have any questions 845 229 5805 and check my feedback prior to bidding.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

Sat, 18 Jan 2014The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own
Wed, 19 Dec 2012Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
