Here is my 1966 Plymouth Fury VIP for sale. I have had this car for about 2 years and have used it as a daily driver up until recently I was able to park it. This car has the 318 Poly engine. It has around 107k on it. It is a very good strong running engine. I replaced the plugs when i bought it and just recently replaced the points. It could use the rest of a tune up with a distributor cap and all that. The body is solid except for some spots behind the back tires on both quarters. Also on the drivers side where the pentastar logo was, there is a small rust spot there. Other than that, the underneath of the car looks great and the rest of the body is in great shape. It wouldn't take much to make it look amazing. I had dual exhausts put on it after I purchased the car. They are professionally routed and it sounds good.I have also replaced all 4 wheel cylinders, rubber brake hoses and one metal brake line on the back. The interior of the car is all original, its in ok shape. There are some sun damage spots on the corners of the front bench seat, and along the back of the back bench seat. My next move was going to be to have the seats redone if I were going to keep the car. There is a tear on the passenger side seat. The audio deck pictured was removed and replaced with a working regular cd player. This car is factory A/C (which does work). All electrical works as well i.e. lights, tail lights, brake lights, interior lights, fuel guage, temp guage, altenator guage, speedometer, in dash lights. All of the chrome trim is in really good shape, along with the headliner which is like new. This car has been taken very good care of and I hate to get rid of it, but my financial needs surpass my want of a play toy. I will most definitely be sad to see it go. feel free to ask any questions about anything I may have left out.

Things I have replaced:
New starter
New Altenator
New wheel cylinders (All around)
New Rubber brake lines (All around)
One metal brake line (Driver Side Rear)
 New fuel pump
New Points
New plugs

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
