 1970 AAR Cuda needs major work  no title or fender tag  VIN on dash matches numbers on cowl and radiator support  front and rear frame rails are solid nice rad support inner fenders shock towers firewall and cowl nice roof trunk lid and rear package tray other than that it needs everything  have 3 doors 2 drivers 1 passenger  one of the drivers doors does have remnants of the aar graphic still on it I dont know if the other doors are the correct year or not  I dont think the front fenders are the correct year either but not sure   I think it still has the original 8 3/4 rear  looks to have been a green on green car I think it may have been a 4spd  not sure if the K member is the correct one  the original T/A steering box is gone as is hood and grill this car needs lots of work but it is a real AAR and they make everything to put it back together  the original engine and trans are gone   the motor sitting in the car in the pics is a 318 and is currently out of the car but the winning bidder can have it if they want it.   If you need more info or specific pics of something I will try to get them for you  this is the way I got the car and havent done anything with it since I have owned it  and thats probably  been about 10 years  so it needs a new home   Please call or text 573-378-3441 or email with any questions and I will try to do my best to help you    Stupid or smart alec comments will not be responded to so dont bother wasting your time sending them    If you have 0 or negative feedback contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled do to all the scammers out there    I reserve the right to end the auction at any time because the car is for sale locally     thanks

US Marshal's classic muscle car auction officially in the books

The US Marshal's so-called Blood Muscle Auction was completed earlier this month, with the prestigious nine-car field (two cars were added following Autoblog's initial story, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 and a rare, mid-restoration 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda) finding new and hopefully law-abiding owners.
While we'd normally recap the stars of the show, in this particular auction, every car's sale was newsworthy. The full list of sale prices doesn't seem to be published, but according to The New York Times, the auction brought in a total of $2.5 million, or an average of about $277,000 per car.
The king of the contest seems to be a 1970 Plymouth Superbird (above, right), complete with a 426-cubic-inch Hemi V8, which brought home $575,000. The trio of Yenko Chevys, meanwhile, all easily cleared the six-figure mark, with the Yenko Camaro (above, far right) clearing $315,000, the Chevelle crossing the block for $237,500 and the supremely rare - one of just 37 - Yenko Nova (shown above, left) selling for an even $400,000.

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
