This is best listed as a 'repainted survivor'.  Original 273 Commando 4 barrel 4-speed California car.  Newish paint that is very presentable but not perfect.  Car runs, drives, stops and shifts exceptionally well.  Floors, rockers, and undercarriage are excellent.  Some blisters in the paint make me assume it was repainted over some bondo or surface rust, but all-in-all and very presentable car.  Overall, I would call it a three-footer.  You will see some blemishes if you look closely, but this car will turn heads at a car show or cruise.  There is some rinky-dink crap like overspray on the weatherstrip and such, but a day in the shop would address this.  Interior is original and excellent for it age. I assume seats were recovered at some point.  Only non-stock things that I see are the steering wheel and an Edelbrock air cleaner.

I have 100% eBay feedback since 2007.  I do not sell junk and am brutally honest. I bought this car as a favor for a friend who desperately needed cash for health reasons.

Feel free to give me a call at 406-570-9552 for a virtual walk-around.

I have been playing with Mopars since 1979 and have several more for sale on my website ~ www.moparmontana.com , some of which will be listed on eBay soon.  As you will see, I do not mess with junk or rust buckets.

Please do not bid if you are not prepared to seal the deal!

This Barracuda is being sold as-is, with no warranty implied, but I am confident of it's condition for a 48 year old car. I would not hesitate to drive it home.

PLEASE call with any questions BEFORE YOU BID!

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.

'71 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Convertible sells for $3.5M [w/video]

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

We're plenty used to seeing classic cars selling for millions of dollars. It's just that they're usually European: Ferraris, Bugattis, Mercedes and the like. There are some rare American exceptions, usually wearing the names Duesenberg or Shelby. But what we have here is the most expensive Chrysler product ever sold at auction.
The vehicle in question is a Plymouth Barracuda - specifically a 1971 Hemi Cuda Convertible, chassis #BS27R1B315367 - that Mecum Auctions just sold after eight solid minutes of feverish bidding for a high bid of $3.5 million at its auction in Seattle, Washington. That figure positively eclipses the $2.2 million paid for a strikingly similar Hemi Cuda (chassis #BS27R1B269588) fetched nearly seven years ago in Scottsdale and another that was the first muscle car to break the million-dollar mark in 2002.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.
