This is a very nice driver quality car that is very sharp looking and drives and rides well. While i have have done exstensive restoration to the car some work was performed before i aquired it that work included new exaust system with headers true dual exhaust new shocks and springs. The car shows 41932 on odometer but im sure it more than likely has more miles than that. Although it looks like it would be a low mileage car it is in excelllent condition. The 350 Rocket 2 barrel motor is quiet and runs well. It is a low Mileage rebuilt motor not original to the car but is the correct 5 rocket 350 Previous owner rebuilt motor in 1999 and passed away just months later so motor mileage while unkown must be very very low. Motor does not drip any oil which is surprising for its age. In fact car does not drip any fluids first older car ive had that i can say that about in some time. Car has a very solid and comfortable ride. Transmission is original to I believe and shifts nice! At least $5500 hundred in parts alone into car without labor. Care intrior is nice for age with New Carpet and front Upolstery including all new foam feels great!  Front end feels great tracks nice no pulls or shakes. Nice body lines doors close nice with no shutting issues.Origianl Am/fm radio still plays although a bit of extra static between stations. So many new parts I could not list here but some of the larger items are new front windshield new bumpers front and back  Vaery Nice Chrome

new emblems new brakes new tires new tail lights new carprt new upostery new vinyl top new PS pump new starter  just to name a few

.Complerte documentation of reciepts provided to new owner.

Car is very straight and nice for age way better than average. Could do well at a local show as is!

Minor tihngs that could be corrected tomake perfect include recharging the AC system all components intact eccept the belt clutch is not frozen still pressurized! Needs blower fan switch previous owner put a a switch under dash for heat. Parking brake needs adjustment and gas gauge floats sometes works acurate but not always horn just stp topped working after paint job so i figurew its a ground may be fixed before sold if i get a moment need driveway space have toomany classics lol only reason im selling. Things ive add for safety include pwer brake boaster and new master cylinder as manual brakes were too hrd for me to use. Car has wonderful tight power steering!

This is an excellent example of the First year body style that ran to 72 you willbe hard pressed to find a nicer example at this price! Paint is a beautifil White pearl that really shines and sparkes in sunlight extremly brighter than original creme color. I took pics of any minor flaws that i noticed flaws are minor car shows and presents very very nice.

Its a real shame the former owner did not get to enjoy the freshened motor car was off road since 1999 and he passed away the same year. I get thumbs up when ever i drive it. Is a very comfortable classic.

Shipping is entirely the responsibility of the new owner. I welcome and encorage in person inspection car is over 45 years old so its not perfect but i have been selling cars and classic gm parts on ebay since 1998 so bid with confidence. check my Feedback!!

payment through Paypal is possible and $500 non refundable deposit is required within 3 days of auction close, require certified funds or cash in full payment for autombile before it lweaves my hands or you get title which is clear in my name with no liens.

Ferrari FF pitted against Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser in crazy Generation Gap comparison

Thu, 13 Nov 2014

The folks behind Generation Gap have lost their minds with this latest video. The goal here is to determine the ultimate family cruiser, but the choices are what you would least expect, with a heavily modded 1970 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser going up against a 2012 Ferrari FF.
You might anticipate an over-40-year-old Oldsmobile to pale in comparison to any modern Ferrari, but this wagon has a ton of secrets under its skin thanks to Lingenfelter. First, it packs a supercharged LS3 V8 with a claimed 650 horsepower and a six-speed manual gearbox. That big upgrade in power is further helped with air suspension and massive Wilwood disc brakes. The result is nothing short of deafening, with blaring yelps whenever the driver even nudges the accelerator.
The alternative sounds just as good, albeit in very different way. The Ferrari's 6.3-liter V12 pumps out 651 hp and 504 pound-feet with a part-time all-wheel drive system. While the FF lacks a lot of the hauling ability of the Olds, it makes up for the deficit in handling, luxury, and in many eyes, simply by having the famous prancing horse on the grille.

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]

Thu, 09 Oct 2014

The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
