Up for sale is my former daily driver 2006 Nissan Xterra 4x4 v6 automatic with 140xxx miles as of 2/13/2014

The VIN is 5N1AN08W06C526520

Grey interior, Red Brawn exterior.

The carfax on this vehicle is perfect, no crashes or impacts, all maintenance has been done on schedule at either a Nissan Dealership or a local certified mechanic. I am the 3rd owner of this truck, and it still drives like it is brand new.

Originally this truck was from Ohio but for the last three years it has been in Florida. When I purchased it, I took the time to sand/prime/paint the frame as a preventative measure. The body has absolutely NO rust. A recent inspection checked out the cooling system and transmission and OK'ed it, but i did the bypass anyway (most common issue on this truck.) It already had the fuel sender unit replaced under recall.

This truck has been outfitted with rancho coil and leaf springs and bilstein shocks to improve the ride and lift it approximately 2"

It has 5 255/85r16 bfgoodrich mud terrain KM2 tires that have 16k miles on them, last time they were rotated (1k miles ago) they were all wearing perfectly although you can definitely hear the MT "hum."

I also upgraded the sound system to a JVC head unit with USB, AUX and Bluetooth capability and added the steering wheel controls.

The truck is in great shape mechanically and aesthetically. It has a few minor scratches and dings but nothing bad. It does not have any rattles, whines, leaks or clunks.

The cloth interior is in very good shape, there are no tears or stains. Some of the plastic has been scuffed in the trunk, and rear console from carrying gear/supplies around.

Nissan testing experimental dealer with no desks or offices

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Nissan thinks it has found a better way to sell cars, and it involves stripping showrooms of everything but the cars and sales team. The brand calls the experiment the Nissan New Retail Concept, and it might get tested in the US in a few years.
The concept is relatively simple. Showrooms ditch offices, reception counters, cubicles and desks. Instead salespeople walk around inside and outside the dealer with mobile devices to assist customers and even complete sales. Associates are trained to take immediate responsibility for each visitor they encounter. For example, if owners comes inside with a problem with their vehicle, the employee escorts them to the service department and introduces them.
A dealer in London has been testing the new layout for the last nine months, and so far it reports better customer satisfaction, loyalty and most importantly higher sales. Nissan next plans to launch test stores in Moscow and Stuttgart. Then it will broaden out to more of Western Europe and finally will be tested in the Japan, the US and the Middle East, according to Automotive News.

New Nissan Leaf looking more and more like 105-mile EV

Sun, May 31 2015

The next-generation Nissan Leaf could see the light of day as soon as 2017. In the meantime, the Japanese automaker may have a treat for electric-vehicle enthusiasts. Think of it as a 21-mile salute. Looking to spur what's recently been lagging sales, we're hearing rumors that Nissan might offer a top-of-the-line Leaf that will include a 30-kilowatt-hour battery instead of the standard 24-kWh version this fall, Hybrid Cars says, citing InsideEVs. That means that the Leaf's 84-mile single-charge range could be extended to about 105 miles. "We have made no public announcement about the 2016 Nissan LEAF," Nissan spokesman Brian Brockman told AutoblogGreen. "We do not comment on future product details." Nissan could use something fresh with the Leaf, which has a sales pattern that was up last year but down in 2015. Through April, Leaf sales were down 22 percent from a year earlier to 5,638 units. That outpaces the Chevrolet Volt extended-range plug-in by a two-to-one margin, but the second-gen Volt is due some time this fall. As for details on the next-generation Leaf, few have emerged. We've heard the car will look less quirky and, of course, be equipped with a longer single-charge range, but beyond that, it's all a bit of a mystery. Related Video:

Mercedes, Renault-Nissan to work together on truck project

Wed, Apr 8 2015

Just a few weeks ago, Mercedes-Benz barged into the automotive world with news of a pickup as a mysterious but enticing future model from the German brand. Rumors of a possible collaboration with Nissan followed, but Renault-Nissan Alliance CEO Carlos Ghosn refused to give any clear details. That speculation is now over, because the automakers made their truck partnership official. This new information reveals that the Mercedes truck won't be a full in-house creation from Daimler. For example, the pickup will share some of its underpinnings with the latest Nissan NP300 Navara. The German company's engineers, however, will work to change the design to their liking. Also, as in the rendering, Mercedes will use a double-cab body for the model. "Thanks to our well-established partnership with the Renault-Nissan Alliance, we are able to drastically reduce the time and cost to enter this key segment." Daimler Chairman Dr. Dieter Zetsche said in the company's release. Nissan will play a further major role in the project by helping Renault develop a pickup based on the Navara as well. By 2020, all three trucks will be built together in Cordoba, Argentina, for Latin American markets and in Barcelona, Spain, for other parts of the world. Mercedes will target both regular customers and commercial buyers with its truck. While still not officially slated for North America, there's a chance that the Mercedes truck might be sold here. The US arm of the company reportedly has until the end of the year to decide to offer it with some added luxury-oriented upgrades compared to the rest of the world.
