Up for auction, with NO RESERVE!, is a 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R sedan. This car is equipped with the 165hp 2.5L 4-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Options include power windows, power locks, keyless, entry, A/C, cruise control, CD player w/AUX input, sunroof and more! This car is in good overall condition but does have some flaws. The body of the car is very nice but it does have a few scratches/dings and the paint is peeling off of the rear bumper cover as shown in the pictures. I received a quote from the local body shop for a cost of $150 to get the cover repainted. I got this car in on a trade and have been driving it to work and back for a few weeks now so the mileage will vary slightly by the end of the auction. I have had no problems with it, and the car seems to have plenty of power and has been averaging about 25mpg. This would make a great first car for someone or anybody looking to save on fuel costs. If you would like to come inspect/test drive the vehicle or have somebody come check it out before bidding just let me know and I'll gladly show it. This is a used vehicle and is therefor sold as-is with no warranty. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due by PayPal immediately after auction end with the balance the be paid by cash/certified funds within 7 days of auction end. Neither the title or the vehicle will be released until all funds have cleared the bank. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer them as soon as possible.

Nissan Canada offers box-fresh racecar for $19,998 [w/video]

Fri, 17 Oct 2014 13:30:00 EST

Nissan is seriously emphasizing its commitment to motorsports with projects like next year's GT-R LM endurance racer at Le Mans and the company's participation with GT Academy. At least in Canada, the automaker is adding another opportunity to get people onto the track with the new Nissan Micra Cup one-make race series. Sure, the Micra might not as quick as a GT-R, but this series offers Canadians a chance to start racing for a reasonable price. Nissan claims the events have "the lowest running cost of any Canadian series," and we can't think of a cheaper turnkey new racecar in all of North America.
The cars are all based on the not-for-US Micra 1.6 S M/T model with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine making 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque and a five-speed manual gearbox. The only real performance upgrades are a Nismo suspension kit, new exhaust, improved brake pads and sticky Pirelli tires. For added safety, the interior is entirely stripped out and is replaced with a full roll cage with a driver protection net, FIA-approved racing seat with five-point harness, fire extinguisher and front and rear tow hooks. The whole, race-ready package will set competitors back $19,998 Canadian dollars before taxes.
The inaugural Micra Cup series begins in May 2015, and the first season is exclusively taking place in Quebec, with the promise of moving to other provinces if it's a success. Each event includes a half hour of practice, a half hour of qualifying and a pair of half-hour races. Nissan is estimating impressive fields of over 25 cars of competitors.

2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid arrives with supercharged engine, 26 mpg combined

Wed, 27 Mar 2013 17:00:00 EST

Nissan just launched the fully redesigned Pathfinder for the 2013 model year, and now, there's a fuel-sipping hybrid version making its debut here at the New York Auto Show. The 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid packs all of the same features found in the standard crossover, but offers slightly better fuel economy and an improved cruising range, to boot.
The new hybrid is powered by a 2.5-liter supercharged engine (we're assuming it's a four-cylinder, though Nissan hasn't specified) coupled with a lithium-ion battery and 15-kilowatt electric motor, capable of producing 250 horsepower and 243 pound-feet of torque - 10 less horsepower but three more pound-feet than the standard V6 Pathfinder. Nissan says the hybrid crossover will be rated at 25/27 miles per gallon (city/highway), with a 26-mpg combined rating. This means that on a full tank, the cruising range of the Pathfinder Hybrid is a cool 526 miles.
What's cool about the hybrid packaging is that Nissan has managed not to have it interfere with any of the interior functionality - the Pathfinder Hybrid still packs just as much cargo and passenger space as its naturally aspirated sibling. Official pricing has not been announced, but Nissan expects the hybrid to command an additional $3,000 over the standard model.

Nissan to pursue FWD Nurburgring lap record with Pulsar Nismo

Thu, 31 Jul 2014 08:01:00 EST

Europeans get very serious about their hot hatches. So do the Japanese. In fact there's been a whole back-and-forth lately over who makes the fastest one, and now Nissan looks set to throw its racing hat into the 'Ring.
That would be the Nürburgring, of course, where automakers trade bragging rights like baseball cards - only they don't give them up willingly. Renault set the front-drive lap record in 2008 with the previous Mégane R26.R then set the bar even higher with the Mégane RS 265 Trophy. That was before Seat stole the honors with its Leon Cupra 280, only for Renault to take them back again with the Mégane RS 275 Trophy-R. Seat is rumored to be considering a renewed assault, but it won't be the only one nipping at Renaultsport's heels in the coming years.
Honda, for its part, has made no secret of its ambition to set the record with the upcoming Civic Type R, and now word has it that Nissan is planning an assault of its own. Its weapon of choice would be an upcoming Nismo version of the new Pulsar hatchback which is just hitting the European market now as a rival to the Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf, et al. There's no word on what its specs would be, but if it's going to challenge these players, it's going to need between 270 and 300 horsepower, a stiff suspension, big brakes and probably some sort of trick differential.
