2006 Nissan Quest SE. This van is completely LOADED! Dual screen DVDs (entertainment package), GPS Navigation, Back up Camera, Rear Sonar/Backup Sensor, Leather Interior, Heated Memory Seats, Roof Rack, Running Boards, 5 Sunroof Package, Automatic Sliding Doors, Automatic Rear Lift Gate.  SEE MORE FEATURES BELOW. The center console between the two front seats folds down, the sunroofs have shades that you can pull over to close them. This van is AMAZING! It’s VERY roomy. Other vans don’t seem to have the interior space that these do & the body style is similar to an SUV. It gets great gas mileage (around 19.5-21mpg). We are just downsizing & need to eliminate the van payment. When I was looking for this van, it took me months to find one that had all these bells & whistles like I was looking for. I had to go to Atlanta to get it. Most don’t have all these features (even other SE’s). It has a CLEAN CARFAX...I can provide. I'm listing it BELOW Kelly Blue Book (Carfax shows based on service records, it is actually worth $970 MORE than KBB. I just need to eliminate the car payment ASAP. The buyer will need to PICK UP THE VAN as I can't deliver. Because I'm still making payments, the buyer would need to pay in full, we would both sign a contract & I will immediately pay the van off (it will be in the buyers possession as soon as they pay & we've signed the contract) & as soon as they mail me the title, I will sign it over to you (per our contract) & send it to you (I've done this once before & it went very smoothly).  It is in really nice condition, there are a few very small scratches as it is used (I don't want to present it as if there are no scratches...I don't want any surprises for the buyer). The TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) light is on...one place told me that one of the sensors is bad & needs to be replaced which they estimated would be around $150 but one place said it just needs to be reset which some places can do for free. Due to my hours I just haven't  had a chance & honestly...it's not a big deal...its just a light that tells you if the pressure is low. Other than that, no problems. It has 108,173 miles. ASKING $11,000 OBO.

This tiny 1.5L engine from Nissan makes 400 horsepower

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Back in 2012, Ford packed its tiny 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder in a carry-on suitcase, destined for use in the Fiesta here in the US. In June, Nissan will pack its tiny new three-cylinder engine in a 24 Hours of Le Mans racecar. Nissan's don't-call-me-DeltaWing ZEOD RC racecar will still be able to tackle a single lap under full electric power, but the rest of the time it will be powered by the new 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine.
Holding the lightweight engine (at right) is Nismo president Shoichi Miyatani, and he's likely smiling because that 40-kilogram (88-pound) engine packs quite a punch with 400 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Nissan would like to take a moment to point out this engine's power-to-weight is better than the engines currently used in Formula One racecars. Scroll down for more information on this new race engine, which we'll see in action at Le Mans in June.

Nissan shows self-cleaning car coated in nano paint

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

Washing the car is an activity like mowing the lawn that some people love and others find to be an absolute chore. For the latter group, Nissan may have an answer. Nissan is testing a nano-paint coating that could make the car wash a very infrequent place to visit.
Shown on a European Note hatchback, the key is a special layer of super-hydrophobic and oleophobic material called Ultra-Ever Dry that is sprayed over the paint. It creates a protective layer between the body and environment, and it means that when dirt or water come into contact with the car, the gunk just sheets away.
Nissan admits that the coating is still early in testing. The key will be if the stuff can actually last for the long term, and the company will be analyzing it over the coming months to see how it will react in different conditions. At the moment, the automaker has no plans to offer Ultra-Ever Dry as a standard feature, but it may make it available as an aftermarket addition in the future. Scroll down to watch the video of Nissan testing the stuff in some very dirty conditions.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: March 2013

Mon, 01 Apr 2013

Over the past few months, we've talked a lot about how our long-term 2013 Nissan Pathfinder functions as a daily-driver, long-hauler and all-weather warrior. And so far, it's earning high praise from most of us for being a well-rounded, pleasant vehicle in these regards. But the vast majority of people who actually go out and buy a Pathfinder will do so because of its people-and-stuff-carrying abilities. Nissan specifically engineered the new Pathfinder to be a softer, more widely appealing crossover than the sort of rugged SUV that it was before, and in doing so, the company is hoping its new CUV will find homes in the garages of many American families.
We needed to get some family impressions of the new Pathfinder, and fast.
Thing is, many of us Autobloggers live the kid-free life - at least that's true of most of us in the Detroit area where the Pathfinder currently resides. We have no doubts that the Pathfinder will get a proper family road trip workout from west coast editor Michael Harley after it shuffles over to the left side of the country, and it might also do a jaunt to North Carolina this summer with executive editor Chris Paukert and his family before it leaves the area, but in the meantime, we needed to get some family impressions of the new Pathfinder, and fast.
