Needs both rear brake drums to be "turned" to eliminate pulsation. New cat-back exhaust. Small oil leak, somewhere? Car is being sold "AS IS".

Good condition overall. I am the second owner from 99,000 miles. Non-smoker. 3.5L V6 engine starts and runs strong.

-Exterior has some small dings and scratches etc, as would be expected for a 200K mile vehicle. Light rust starting on Left rear wheel arch.
The frame is solid in great condition. This car has only spent one Winter in New England, it is originally from Ohio.
-Great condition interior. No rips or tears, kids, dogs or otherwise.
-Needs front end alignment and possibly 2 front tires due to bad alignment. I had both front struts and right front CV axle replaced last Winter
and assumed that an alignment was done at that time, I was wrong. Needs both rear brake drums to be "turned" to eliminate pulsation.
New cat-back exhaust. Small oil leak somewhere but never enough that I have to add extra oil between oil changes. Oil always
changed at 3,000 mile intervals by me. I have always run 93 octane in this vehicle as recommended by Nissan.
-No SEL (Service Engine Soon) light!

I had a low speed accident last Fall. Center grill, fenders, headlights, front bumper cover and hood were replaced by Websters Autobody in Boston, Mass.
Not sure if this shows up on CarFax but thought it best to mention it.

If you want to have a local Canton, Mass mechanic inspect the car we can make arrangements for this. I cannot recommend anyone but
if you want to set it up and pay for it I will deliver the car to them for the inspection. Must be in the Canton, Mass area.

The winner of this auction is fully responsible for the transport of the car after the auction is over. If you win the auction I expect prompt payment
on the winning bid. I will expect the car to be picked up within 1 week of the end of auction unless we agree to another plan.

* I have a clear Ohio title in-hand and can sign it over to the new owner at anytime.

Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

This auction starts at $.99!

2014 Nissan Frontier Diesel Mule [w/poll]

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

Last August, Nissan shook the truck world when it officially announced plans to source a diesel option from Cummins for its long-overdue Titan replacement, its full-size pickup that's slated to drop this January at the Detroit Auto Show. The 5.0-liter V8 turbodiesel is expected to make somewhere around 300 horsepower and north of 500 pound-feet of torque. This combination of an all-new truck with this new powerplant promises to dramatically change the competitive landscape, splitting the difference between the heavy-duty goliaths from the Detroit Three and the Ram 1500 Ecodiesel. And the intrigue moved a step further when the Frontier Diesel Runner Concept showed up at February's Chicago Auto Show, as it displayed a growing relationship between Nissan and Cummins in a very interesting potential future product.
That concept would melt its clear acrylic hood if the engine ran too long, but this month, we got a chance to test drive a production mule, an otherwise normal Frontier with a Cummins 2.8-liter diesel four-pot under the hood and a ZF eight-speed automatic changing gears. The powertrain figures to be a direct competitor to the 2.8-liter Duramax promised for General Motors' Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon twins, but will Nissan build it? All signs point to probably. Officially, Nissan is taking no position on the future of this program, but a concept followed by putting journalists into a test mule suggests the company is considering the option very seriously. Here's what we gleaned from a brief drive around the posh suburbs of Nashville:
Before we get too deep into this Quick Spin, realize this Frontier is absolutely a mule, not a prototype. More or less cobbled together with duct tape and baling wire, it's not meant to be representative of a finished product, or even a started product. The transmission and shifter is straight out of a Chrysler 300 and the shifter surround is cut out of a panel of plastic. The "Low Sulfur Diesel Only" sticker is, well, just stuck on. We're looking at a "What if?" mockup.

2013 Nissan Pathfinder: July-September 2013

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

This Nissan is the most in-demand long-term vehicle we've ever had.
They may not readily fall into the sweet spot of driving enthusiasts, but our year-long test of this Nissan is proving to be an object lesson in why crossovers are so popular - especially large ones like our three-row Pathfinder. In fact, it's been so busy that it's hardly been at a standstill long enough to pen an update, which is why this one is late. Simply put, this Nissan is the most in-demand long-term vehicle we've ever had, racking up more miles and more long-distance trips than any LT vehicle in the Autoblog stable.

Renault taking Alpine endurance racing, enters 24 Hours of Le Mans

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

Renault isn't letting up with the return of its Alpine brand. After announcing a partnership with Caterham to bring a new Alpine to market by 2015 (now expected by 2016), the French firm has announced it is taking Alpine racing again in the European Le Mans Series this year - and that includes The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It has been 35 years since Alpine last competed in Le Mans, when it won the race outright and dropped the mic as it left the pits, never to return. Before that, in the 11 years it campaigned in the most famous endurance race on the planet from 1963 to 1978, it took seven class wins.
Caterham won't be involved with the race team, however; that will be an effort spearheaded by the Signatech-Nissan team that has been running GT Academy winners in LMS racing. Alpine is preparing an LMP2 chassis that will get a 500-horsepower Nissan engine for this year's championship, with the first two named drivers being Nelson Panciatici (above right) and Pierre Ragues (above left). The third driver for Le Mans will be announced later this month when the racer is launched at the Le Castellet race track in southern France.
