1995 Nissan Pickup Xe Pickup 2-door 2.4l For Parts: Good Motor, Great Tires! on 2040-cars
Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, United States
I think I am the 4th owner of this truck . When I bought it 3 years ago, the motor had a bad lifter that was knocking. I had the engine disassembled and fixed, and while they were in there, they put in new rings and timing belt. That was less than 3,000 miles ago. We think the mileage at 65K is accurate. Last week, I took it in to have a rusted brake line replaced, and the mechanic called to ask if I wanted to spend money doing that, since it won't pass the next inspection in December because of the extensive rust on the frame. But other than that brake line, it runs and drives; however, the mechanic says it may be unsafe to drive since the frame is so rusted. The 4WD works fine and I have used it as a wood gathering and fence building truck around the farm for the last 3 years, and quick trips to the dump. The truck is available for pick-up in Holiday, PA, outside Wellsboro, PA. or can be delivered on the mechanic's rollback for $6.00 a loaded mile. You are buying a truck for parts and there is no warranty or return. Sale is final. reserve set at $1200. Please study photos carefully. Please ask questions! This is a re-list as the previous buyer was a non-payer. |

Nissan GT-R goes 183 mph on ice in Russia
Sat, 06 Apr 2013When a pair of Russian pilots wanted to set a local ice-speed record, they chose a stock Nissan GT-R for the task. Roman Rusinov, a Russian race car driver, and Andrey Leontjev, a Russian auto journalist, took Godzilla to Lake Baikal and ran it up to 294.8 kilometers per hour (182.8 miles per hour) across frozen stuff estimated to be 1.4 meters thick.
While the worldwide record of 205.48 mph was set by Juha Kankkunen in a Bentley Supersports Convertible, the mark achieved by Rusinov and Leontjev establishes a new Russian record. Well done, boys. You can watch it all go down in the video below.
About 20k Nissan Pathfinder, Infiniti JX models recalled for potentially faulty brakes
Fri, 19 Apr 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder and 2013 Infiniti JX due to a problem with the front brakes. The problem is a result of the brake torque member (a part that attaches the brake caliper to the front suspension), which was cast improperly with a structural weakness that could possibly lead to "reduced braking, increasing the risk of a crash," according to NHTSA. How, you ask? If the part breaks, the brake caliper could move position and possibly make contact with the wheel.
Around 20,000 of these sister crossovers are being recalled, but it doesn't sound like all were equipped with the faulty component. Dealers will inspect vehicles built between December 3, 2012 and January 29, 2013, and replace components from the defective batch. The recall goes into effect next month, but until then, the official recall notice is posted below with information for how owners can contact Nissan.
Nissan NV200 finds new work as ambulance, Gibson guitar repair truck
Thu, 28 Mar 2013We live in a world now where not every police cruiser and taxi is a Ford Crown Victoria, not every executive car is a Lincoln Town Car and not every ambulance is based on a Ford Econoline van. Vehicles like the new Nissan NV200 are making inroads into the service, livery and emergency vehicle markets, and we've got a couple cases in point to share.
The first one is a fleet of 30 new ambulances based on the heavier-duty NV2500 chassis. They are entering the Mexican Red Cross fleet of emergency vehicles this year after performing well in pilot tests last year. The Mexican Red Cross says it receives 1,200,000 ambulance service requests per year, so the mettle of these new machines will be tested in a hurry.
The second example is less useful for life-saving, but may save a guitar from going to the scrap heap. Called the Gibson NV200 Mobile Repair & Restoration Van, it can take the services of an authorized Gibson rep anywhere they're needed to repair or restore an axe in need. The van features a whole aesthetic designed to evoke the classic Gibson look, with wood veneer and shades of brown and black used throughout. There's a guitar rack that holds four instruments, a sliding 56-inch long repair table, toolbox, genuine Gibson stools and a sound system by Gibson Pro Audio.
