1986 Nissan Truck :: Clean :: 49k Miles :: W/ New Undercoating And Tires 30+mpg on 2040-cars
Johnson City, Tennessee, United States
RARE TRUCK FOR SALE
This truck is extra clean, and I just had an undercoating put on it along with brand spanking new tires. As you can see by the photos, the interior is flawless, the engine looks and runs great, and it has a cool custom pool ball shifter. FYI: I drove form Johnson City to Knox, back from Knox to Johnson City, from Johnson City to Abington, and from Abington to Knoxville, and from Knoxville to Johnson City in 2 days (over 550 miles) and the truck didn't have a single problem. I've never ran her that hard before, but she runs great. Had to move a mattress, and went on a fun bike trip to the creeper trail. Fun little truck, good for moving something on the rare occasion, and great on gas. Pros: - Less than 50,000 miles. This is very rare to find a truck like this in this condition. - Long Bed - BRAND NEW TIRES (that's over $350 that you don't have to do right there.) - BRAND NEW CATALYTIC CONVERTER - BRAND NEW MUFFLER ASSEMBLY AND EXHAUST. - BRAND NEW WINDSHIELD WIPERS - Cool! It has a bike rack, brand new and easy to take on and off. - 5 speed manual transmission; it's a gas saver - 30 + MPG - Original Seats - Original Owner's Manual - BRAND NEW HEADLIGHTS (bright and clean) - It's a classic - and much more... Cons: - The shifter boot has a tear in it (see photo) - The left front signal light cover is not attached, but I have the original, and all it needs is to be screwed on and have a new bulb. (any auto shop would do that for $30 bucks, if that, or you could do it yourself. Just haven't got around to it). - Very small scratch on hood (see photo) other than that, it's clean. - Old Timey Radio (works great but doesn't have the bass that modern day radios have nor the auto seek functions; it's a turn dial. But hey, it's sounds good and it has a cassette.) Note: They make a cassette tape with a headphone jack that comes out of it for a few bucks at Walmart or Radio Shack if you want to hook up an iPod or something. Overall, this is a truck that you aren't going to find pretty much anywhere else in this good of condition. It runs good, sounds good, and I've had my mechanic tune it up. There's a bunch of new stuff put in it, and she will do you well. Esp. as a secondary vehicle or for something you want to take out for a fun little spin. Thank you so much for your interest, and happy eBaying. Be advised, I am listing this vehicle locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction/listing at anytime. |

Nissan gives a better look at its Vision Gran Turismo concept
Wed, 11 Jun 2014Just the other day, Nissan released an image showing all of its cars you can drive in Gran Turismo, with one little mystery hiding in the bottom right corner: a draped shape with the date June 10, 2014 - suggesting that it would reveal its Vision Gran Turismo on that date. Well, if you look at that calendar you'll realize that June 10 came and went yesterday, and Nissan didn't reveal the car.
As it turns out, what the folks at Nissan meant when they indicated June 10 was that they'd release the next teaser on that date, and that's what we have here. The teaser hints at one menacing-looking futuristic chunk of virtual performance meta, but "the next chapter" won't be revealed until next week on Monday, June 16. At that point we hope Nissan will actually reveal the full thing and not another teaser, but one way or another the finished product is expected to be present in the flesh (or sheet metal) for the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of the month.
Nissan Titan Wounded Warrior project lands in time for Veteran's Day
Tue, 11 Nov 2014We last featured the crowdsourced Project Titan pickup back in September, back when Nissan revealed that its big, bruising custom pickup would take to the wilds of Alaska with a pair of veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project at the wheel.
Now, their journey across the wilds has been fully revealed as part of a 22-minute short film. David Guzman and Kevin McMahon are the pilots of the brutish truck, and while the film is ostensibly focused on the journey and the challenges that come with it, the release of the video on Veterans Day (Remembrance Day or Armistice Day, depending on where you're from), gives some indication to the dominant theme of the story - recovery.
The two travel across Alaska in the Titan on different missions, working with both veterans and civilians afflicted with post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project. From the avalanche-surviving photographer who's suffering from PTSD to an Air Force veteran who routinely takes recovering vets on fishing trips, the pair experience the many efforts at recovery and support throughout the course of the missions and their journey.
Syrena Sport returns as rebodied Nissan 370Z
Tue, 23 Apr 2013We wouldn't hold it against you if you'd never heard of the FSO Syrena Sport. FSO built the long-enduring Syrena for some 17 years nonstop, and while the machines were mostly plodding family sedans, engineers at FSO did create one version with a bit more zest. The Syrena Sport was a two-door coupe that borrowed design cues from Ferrari and was powered by a two-cylinder, air-cooled boxer engine. While originally intended for production, economic woes kept the machine from ever seeing the light of day.
Now, the Syrena Sport is back, though in a slightly different configuration. Entrepreneur Rafal Czubaj has resurrected the name for a special one-off creation designed by Pavlo Burkatskyy. This time around, there is no oddball boxer under the hood, however. Czubaj chose to use the underpinnings from the Nissan 370Z, complete with its 3.7-liter V6 engine. Buyers can choose between a 330-horsepower tune or a 450-hp iteration, and with a curb weight of 2,865 pounds, the car should be plenty quick. Expect acceleration to 60 miles per hour in around 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.
