2003 Nissan Murano Se Awd Leather Interior, Premium Bose Sound System, Sunroof on 2040-cars
Willoughby, Ohio, United States
Awesome running 4 door SUV (no known issues) all wheel drive with minor cosmetic flaws (shown in pics). Mostly highway miles (we travel south a lot). Gets about 22 MPG. Leather seats, luggage rack, rain shields. Sunroof slides open all the way or tilts up, Bose system with 6 disk CD changer. Rubber mat in back to protect carpet, newer floor mats, cup holders in front and back. New tires, front and rear brakes (including drums), exhaust, serpentine belt, and had radiator flushed. Seats 5 very comfortably with room in the back for luggage or doggies. Perfect family SUV, especially for Ohio winters, but also nice in summer with strong AC, sunroof and tinted windows. We were the second owner...very well maintained with regular oil changes, have service records. You're gonna love it! NADA list this vehicle as worth $8,875 see link: http://www.nadaguides.com/Cars/2003/Nissan/Murano-V6-AWD/Utility-4D-SE-AWD/Values Vehicle sold used and as is. No warranty. |

Nissan Leaf becomes least expensive 5-seat EV with massive price drop
Mon, 14 Jan 2013In a roundtable interview today at the North American International Auto Show, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn announced a $6,400 price drop for the base-model 2013 Nissan Leaf. Last year's base model was $35,200, while the new base-level 2013 Leaf S starts at $28,800. Ghosn says the new prices make the Leaf the least expensive five-seater electric for sale in the US.
Some of the lower cost is due to a difference in content from last year's low-end model to this year's. But a sizable portion can be chalked up to the Leaf's production moving from Japan to Tennessee. The 2013 Leaf is not only assembled in the US now, but its lithium-ion batteries and the car's electric motors are manufactured in the same southern state.
The Leaf SV will be priced from $31,820 for 2013 compared to $35,200 last year. The high-end Leaf SL now starts at $34,840, down from the 2012 model's $37,250. These models also have differences in content. One big one is a new 6.6-kWh charger that reduces charging times pretty dramatically.
Ghosn predicts autonomous cars on the roads by 2018, if laws allow
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Things appear to be going well inside Nissan's autonomous vehicle development program. Until now, the automaker believed that self-driving cars would be ready for major markets like the US by 2020. However, Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn is now speeding up that prediction to 2018 in some places, assuming that local laws are ready to accept the computer-controlled vehicles.
"The problem isn't technology, it's legislation, and the whole question of responsibility that goes with these cars moving around," said Ghosn in a speech in France recorded by Reuters. He predicted that the first sales could begin in France, Japan and the US by 2018 and expand elsewhere in 2020.
The alliance has been among the forefront of automakers working on self-driving cars. Nissan has an autonomous Leaf (pictured above) test car that is licensed to drive on Japanese roads. Renault showed off an version of its Zoe EV earlier this year called the Next Two, that could pilot itself at speeds up to 18 miles per hour, and that the company predicted would be ready by 2020.
Nissan's Cummins tie-up bears first fruit with Frontier Diesel Runner concept
Thu, 06 Feb 2014The 2014 Chicago Auto Show is proving to be a surprisingly big show for alternative fuels. The Chevrolet Silverado HD pickups are getting a compressed natural gas option and the refreshed BMW X3 is receiving a diesel engine, as is the German automaker's 7 Series. You can add one more oil burner to the mix, at least in concept form: Nissan has released its Frontier Diesel Runner Powered by Cummins with a 2.8-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF.
While Nissan calls the Cummins-powered Frontier a concept, it's really just a Frontier DesertRunner 4x2 with a diesel engine replacing the standard 4.0-liter V6, and it's meant to gauge consumer interest for a diesel option in the next-generation Frontier. Nissan has clearly noticed that Chevrolet will be offering a diesel in its new Colorado and wants to see how buyers will react to a mid-size alt-fuel pickup from a Japanese brand.
Exterior modifications to the concept are minor. To show off the engine, there is a transparent hood insert and the pickup has been painted in a two-tone finish of high-gloss red and matte silver edged in carbon fiber trim. The interior gets the same combo of red, silver and carbon fiber to match the outside.
