The truck drives great and I have loved owning it. It has great power and handles well. The traction control works well and makes the truck much easier to drive in wet or slick conditions. I'm only selling to make room for a bigger truck to use for towing a camper and hauling the whole family. I drove and maintained the truck fully expecting to drive it for 10+ years, but my growing family and our love of camping pushed us towards a bigger vehicle. I am the original owner, and I bought the truck new at Chandler Nissan in Oxford, MS, February of 2010. The Toyo Open Country tires were put on last summer and have less than 10,000 miles on them. I have full maintenance records for the truck. The most recent oil, oil filter, air filter, and tire rotation were all done within the last 200 miles. Full Weather Tech floor mats front and rear. The original Nissan carpet mats are also included. Storage area beneath back seats. This is a great truck, and it has done everything that we've asked it to do! |

Nissan's crowdsourced Project Titan is ready to tackle Alaska [w/videos]
Wed, 10 Sep 2014Alaska still offers Americans the chance to really experience the wilderness, and Nissan is challenging its Titan pickup to its offroad extremes with a little help from its fans. After crowdsourcing a heap of mods, the company is handing it over to two Wounded Warrior Project Alumni to do their worst in the backcountry to see what the truck can do.
Nissan last experimented with the crowdsourcing idea on its Project 370Z in 2012 but might have taken things even further this time. For Project Titan, the automaker let fans vote on 10 different areas to customize on a 2014 Titan Crew Cab PRO-4X. To fit the rugged look, the company covered it up with a custom digital-camouflage wrap with a Wounded Warrior Project emblem and even outfitted its all-terrain camping trailer in a similar scheme. An LED lighting rig was also added to the new bull bar and roof rack to brighten the night. For a just little more grunt, the 5.6-liter V8 was outfitted with a Nismo cold-air intake and Borla cat-back exhaust, and to keep from getting stuck, the pickup got an upgraded suspension with more travel and 18-inch wheels with 35-inch Nitto offroad tires. The interior was also slightly revised with big GPS system and custom embroidered seats.
Now, it's time to see if the truck's mods can handle what the Alaskan wilderness can throw at it. The two Wounded Warrior Project Alumni are just starting their expedition and are expecting snow on the way. Nissan leaning on JATCO to remedy CVT problems
Mon, 02 Dec 2013Nissan's decision to fit continuously variable transmissions across even more of its new models may be coming back to bite the Japanese automaker, as it's been hampered by customer satisfaction issues relating to its XTronic CVTs, which are provided by a supplier called JATCO.
From what we're understanding, the issue largely relates to customers' unfamiliarity with the non-traditional shift nature of a CVT. Dealers have reported complaints and service visits from owners over the belt-driven automatics (did these people not test drive the cars before they bought them and notice that they don't shift conventionally?).
The company, which Nissan owns 75 percent of, has come under fire from none other than Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn, who's spoken about JATCO and its troubles rather openly. "Every time you launch a new CVT you always have some risks," Ghosn said in an interview with Automotive News. "So we now have a process by which, before we launch any new CVT, [JATCO] come before the Nissan executive committee to explain all the measures they have taken to make sure there are no surprises."
