up for sale is a very rare 1992 Right Hand Drive Nissan 300zx.  ***NO RESERVE***

***bid must reach $3700 for wheels to be included***

Below 3700 will come with chrome wheels (new tires)

I converted a regular LHD n/a 300zx with a clean title to RHD with a clip from japan.

this means no ridiculous taxes or fees. it has an American vin and is tagged and insured no problem, for those who are curious it is not against the law to own a RHD car in the US.

details about the car and conversion.

-it has an American N/A engine/trans from another z32 with roughly 93,000 original miles. new injectors, fuel filter, MAF and aftermarket air filter. (185000 on body) runs great

-lowered with lowering springs  with 19 inch rears and 18 inch front wheels(xxr wheels). (needs camber arms for the front to avoid tire ware) also needs an alignment but its not off by much.

-it has jdm front corner lights which are rare in the us and expensive to buy.

-new front windshield and all new wipers around.

-it started as a parts car for me before deciding to do the conversion, the frame has been double reinforced with 3/8 in steel and also has a half cage for extra support.

-all of the wiring is from the original LHD model. window switch are on the left side and so is the handle for the gas cap and rear hatch.

this car is very fun to drive. I had never driven a RHD car before and it was only weird for the first few minutes and then I began to get used to it. the pedals stay the same, clutch on the left and gas on the right.

shifting was a little tricky at first because youre shifting left handed for one but also shifting toward yourself instead of away.

-do not be discouraged, after about 30 min driving it, it became natural.

-I have tons of people stop me at red lights and the gas station and their jaws just drop.

-this car is very fun to drive and brings lots of attention. no to mention the stance with the wheels just looks great.

the only thing the car really needs is a good paint job. as I said it was a parts car initially so it had a few different colors for fenders, hood and bumper. I just laid a layer of black on it to make it all match.

also the heating and ac components are completely removed. the LHD wiring was completely different so none of the plugs would match up.

I have tons of parts that are turbo and non turbo if interested in anything I may have.\

this is a great car for someone who wants to be different and likes to constantly tinker with different ways to make a car cooler.

my name is matt, text or call anytime with questions. 256-683-2385

**500 dollar deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. also I will deliver for $0.50 a mile up to 250 miles one way from Harvest AL, 35749. 500 miles round trip***

Nissan Murano production fires up in America for first time [w/video]

Fri, 07 Nov 2014

Production of the new, third-generation Nissan Murano has finally kicked off at the company's Canton, MS factory, marking not only the eighth vehicle built on the facility's lines, but also the first global product to be built there since it opened in 2003.
"The strategic investments that Nissan has made in Canton serve as a testament to the flexibility, efficiency and talent of our workforce and suppliers," said John Martin, Nissan's boss for manufacturing, supply chain management and purchasing. "In Canton, we build high-quality vehicles that compete and win globally, and the bold new Murano will build on that reputation."
The addition of Murano production, which joins Altima, Armada, Titan, Frontier, Xterra and NV, brought a further 1,300 jobs.

Nissan IDx Nismo and IDx Freeflow concepts are a bridge to the Datsun 510

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

We're not sure if someone from The Adjustment Bureau stopped by Nissan's PR department to explain the IDx Nismo and IDx Freeflow concepts, but the company's odd press release can't diminish our love for these two show favorites. We had been told to look out for an unnamed Datsun 510 BRE homage, and once we saw the brothers IDx, we knew we'd found them. But the press release doesn't mention anything about the Datsun 510 Brock Racing Enterprises, nor does it mention one Mr. Peter Brock, the man who won two Trans-Am championships in the Seventies for the nascent Japanese budget brand.
Instead, it declares that the cars were the result of a co-creation product development process with "digital natives," said natives being the whippersnappers born after 1990. Nissan says it worked with the young'uns to create two different expressions of "their desire for a basic, authentic configuration for a car." If that's true, it appears that what the kiddies really want are... two different homages to the Datsun 510 BRE that Peter Brock used to win two championships in the seventies for the nascent Japanese brand.
The IDx Freeflow - the "ID" is for "identification," the "x" is "the variable representing the new values and dreams born through communication" - takes the casual approach, with a light khaki exterior hue, a minimalist interior decked out in denim and a console shifter that works a continuously variable transmission. The IDx Nismo is out for blood, from its crimson interior to its five-point harness to its bolt-on flares and sidepipes. We aren't told what the digital natives requested for powerplants, but that's alright; if this is what "co-creation" looks like, we're not entirely against it except where that "CVT" is involved.

Nissan details Craigslist 1996 Maxima restoration

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

"Luxury Defined," in the most ironic sense the galaxy has ever known, is now "Luxury Restored," in the real and incredible sense. Last September, Luke Aker made ads to sell his 1996 Nissan Maxima GLE, the YouTube version being a mix truth, bombast, a British accent and a ratchet strap. The ad tickled Nissan such that it bought the car from Akes and made a donation to a charity of his choice. Then they consulted with the citizens of the Internet to decide what to do with it, the final vote being a complete restoration and display at the company's Nashville HQ.
Friends, Netizens, countrymen, the job is done. Nicknamed "Old Glory," comparing the old car with the new is like reading one of those shelter dog rescue stories where the loving family nurses an impossibly cute pup back to health with handheld nursing sessions, baby bottles of warm milk and whispered lullabies. Only Nissan probably didn't sing to the Maxima.
The Maxima is now on display, and we hope they've hung the ratchet strap with it. You can see Aker's new video on the transformation above, plus another video and press release below detailing the Maxima's journey back to New Glory.
