This is a 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution w, 103330 miles currently on the car. I just purchased another Evo that was missing the engine trans tcase and that's why this has become a rolling shell. I had this car repainted in August of last year because I wanted to put the Evo 9 front w the JDM Rear and wanted everything to match. So everything was done from door jams seals were removed door handles, mirrors ext. Engine bay is the only area that didn't get redone. The factory evo 8 bumpers were reinstalled for the roller and were not repainted at the time the car was painted in the Complete Evo 8 factory interior is installed and in great shape for 11 years of wear.  Engine harness is installed and in goog working order and rear end (Diff) and all four axles come with the car. I have included a pic of everything that is included that is not currently installed ::::Whats Missing:::: Complete Engine/ Trans(clutch flywheel) T-case/ Driveshaft/ Radiator/Oil Cooler/ Complete Turbo setup and Exhaust..... .Otherwise this car is complete with no headaches a rare find to see a Roller that isn't torn apart. ECU, All wiring harness, Rear Diff, All four axles, complete Suspension I just installed Brand New White line Front Ball Joints W/ White line Tie Rodends and Moog Inners. All the Brakes are good and have plenty of pad and rotor left.  The wheels are Black 17" Rota Grid wheels w Bridgestone tires w/ about 50% wear left. Mitsubishi recalling 166k cars, crossovers over stall risk

Fri, 10 Oct 2014 16:31:00 EST

Mitsubishi is recalling 165,923 vehicles in the US because it's possible for the drive belt to detach from their engines, potentially causing a stall. Specifically, the campaign covers 2008-2011 model-year examples of the Lancer, Lancer Evolution (pictured above) and Outlander as well as the 2009-2011 Lancer Sportback and 2011 Outlander Sport. All of the affected models use some version of the brand's 4B1 four-cylinder engine.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the engine pulley can wear causing the drive belt to slip off. If this happens, the alternator, cooling fan and hydraulic power steering can all stop working, and obviously, any of those things could make driving unsafe. However, if the belt detaches, then a warning light should come on in the cabin.
To fix the problem, Mitsubishi dealers will replace the original belt with a redesigned rubber part and will inspect the pulley. If worn, it'll also be replaced free of charge.

Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency

Sun, 25 May 2014 16:31:00 EST

Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.

Mitsubishi pondering $2B share sale?

Sun, 15 Sep 2013 09:00:00 EST

Mitsubishi makes the brilliantly fast, wonderfully fun Lancer Evolution. Outside of that road-going rally car, the rest of the range is pretty poor - the new Outlander isn't bad, but the subcompact Mirage looks like might've been competitive five years ago, while the Galant and Lancer have suffered from serial neglect.
This hasn't just lead to rumors of Mitsu's death in America; the subsidiary of the massive Mitsubishi Group has been in trouble at home, too. It was bailed out by three other Mitsubishi Group companies - Mitsubishi UFJ Financial, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation - between 2004 and 2005, according to Bloomberg. Now, it's attempting to extricate itself from "emergency mode," as analyst Koichi Sugimoto told the financial site, adding that "they're still in the very early stages of recovery."
As part of the bailout, Mitsubishi issued its three saviors billions of dollars of preferred shares, which don't have voting rights. The problem is, Mitsubishi hasn't issued dividend payments since 1998, and these stocks aren't exactly competing with Apple or Google, in terms of value. In other words, they're mostly worthless. With a public offering, Mitsubishi is expecting to raise 200 billion yen, or about $2 billion, in order to reduce the number of preferred shares. If all goes according to plan, it will wipe out preferred shares by March of 2014, or the end of fiscal year 2013.
