Thank you for viewing our vehicle. This is an amazing opportunity to own a brand new car from $13,000 under original sale price. This is a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR with only 11,687 miles. This car was original a demo car in California where it was parked with the windows open over night and they had some rain fall and it was subjected to what the insurance company calls flood damage. It was fresh rain water that entered the car and the car sustained NO evident damage, unfortunately the dealership could no sell the car after this happened so they claimed it on the insurance and received a full pay out. SO HERE IT IS! I've personally been using the car for the last two months and the car is truly amazing! It has NEVER seen any type of paint work, no rust (like I said it was rain water), the car was professionally detailed and the carpets were lifted (Note: The padding of the carpet was not even wet nor did it have any odors), and the car mechanically is PERFECT! I personally put brand new BFG street Drag radials all around and they have less than 500 miles, I put a greddy cold air intake (Stock intake included with the vehicle), and I put yellow HID's in the fog lamps and 8000k light blue HID's in the headlight. Like I said this is a BRAND NEW CAR that really did not sustain any damage and this is your chance to own an amazing car for a fraction of the cost! The mileage at the time of the sale with be slightly higher as I am still using the car daily with my dealer plate. Please check with you local state and DMV laws to see what is required to register the car, car has an acting California salvage title certificate that is ready to go anywhere!

If this vehicle is sold within NYS you will be subjected to NYS Sales tax, NYS inspection and it will require a salvage inspection that we will set up for you free of charge. The buyer is responsible for transport or pick up of the vehicle. If you have any question about this vehicle and you are a SERIOUS buyer please contact Travis at 1917-345-1098 anytime. We are conveniently located at 9303 Atlantic Ave Woodhaven NY 11421 we are here Monday thru Saturday from 9:30 AM to 7PM. Thank you for you interest and I hope to speak to you soon!

2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport recalled over brake lamps

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Mitsubishi is recalling certain 2013 Outlander Sport models for a couple of brake-related reasons. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the brake lamps may illuminate continuously or intermittently. On top of that, the NHTSA report states that the vehicle's shift lever could be moved out of the Park position without depressing the brake pedal.
A total of 4,539 Outlander Sport models are being recalled for these issues. All of the affected vehicles were built between June 11 and September 11, 2012.
Obviously, both of these issues can be hazardous. If the brake lamps do not illuminate properly, other vehicles may not realize that the car is stopping. And if the shift lever can be moved from Park without touching the brake pedal, the vehicle could roll away unexpectedly.

Mitsubishi's first US chairman since 2007 charged with revitalizing brand

Fri, 02 Nov 2012

Have a look at Mitsubishi North America's vehicle page and you'll find seven cars in four model lines: i-MiEV electric hatch, Lancer sedan, Lancer Evolution and Sportback, Outlander and Outlander Sport, and Galant sedan. The Galant has 3.9 tires in the automotive grave, and the only hope for mainstream excitement, the Eclipse coupe and Spyder, had hemlock poured down their crankcases last year. Increasing the quotient of bleak, the Lancer isn't due for a refresh until 2014, the coming Outlander PHEV will sell in miniscule numbers when it does arrive, a little sports car has been nixed and the only other Mitsu being considered for our landmass is the Colt, which, for its stellar fuel economy numbers, looks like a car designed by Pikachu. There's also that matter of declining NA market share in a rising overall market, Mitsubishi's piece of the total pie currently hovering around the 0.4-percent mark according to Automotive News.
The company has decided to do more about it, reassigning Executive Vice President and Head Officer of the Headquarters Product Projects & Strategy Group Gayu Uesugi to be the new chairman of Mitsubishi Motors North America. It will be the first time in five years that someone has filled the chairman position at MMNA.
The hope is that with Uesugi's 35 years with the company, his experience in the company's global product plan and his success in emerging market strategy, he's the man to "[develop] a product plan and growth strategy for the US market" that will put things right. Or at least better. He will work with Yoichi Yokozawa, who has been CEO of MMNA since last year. There are more details on the move in the press release below.

DoJ fines Japanese parts firms $740M in massive automotive price-fixing scandal

Fri, 27 Sep 2013

Nine Japanese suppliers have pleaded guilty in US court over charges of price fixing in the automotive parts industry, resulting in the Department of Justice doling out a total of $740 million of fines, according to a report from Bloomberg. The scandal, which has resulted in General Motors, Ford, Toyota and Chrysler spending up to $5 billion on inflated parts and driving up prices on 25 million vehicles has sent the DoJ hustling into investigations. "The conduct this investigation uncovered involved more than a dozen separate conspiracies aimed at the U.S. economy," Attorney General Eric Holder (pictured above) said during yesterday's press conference.
As the investigation stands, the DoJ has issued $1.6 billion in fines against 20 companies and 21 individual executives, with 17 of the execs headed to prison. Deputy Assistant Attorney General Scott Hammond said, "The breadth of the conspiracies brought to light today are as egregious as they are pervasive. They involve more than a dozen separate conspiracies operating independently but all sharing in common that they targeted US automotive manufacturers."
Big-name suppliers indicted in the investigation include Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Hitachi Automotive and Mitsuba Corporation. A list of fines and other corporations named in the investigation is available at Bloomberg.
