2003 Mitsubishi Gallant Repo on 2040-cars
Costa Mesa, California, United States
Yup.... Its a REPO!!!
That means your buying this car at BELOW kelly blue book. It ran great the last time it ran, unfortunatly that was 4 months ago. The battery has been donated to another car and there is little to no gas. We tried starting it last week and it gave a nice "Crank no start" which could be fuel pump, timing, gremlins, a curse from God above? your guess is as good as mine. If you know how to work on cars this is the greatest car you will ever own. Tires are good, Interior is fair to good, paint is fair. Its a nice newer car that can be brought back to its former glory! or used as a planter. Part it out? make a race car out of it? if you own a forklift or crane this car could make a great tree house for the kids. Policy of bidding: This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION. That means that when you realize you are the winning bid, its a little late to think about if you really want it or not... its yours! Now its just time to pay and pick it it. Easy as 1-2-3! 1. Pay the deposit buy paypal or show up and pay in full 2. Pick up the car and title 3. Leave (I say this lovingly because I am selling the car to make it go away, Im sure your a great person and would make a spectacular friend... but im horrible and nobody should suffer being my friend, so that being said, take your new car and go impress a better quality of person than I). If you pay a deposit and dont show up within 72 hours to get the car, I will spend your deposit to relist the car. That being said Im sure whomever buys this car will have it back on the road in no time. The milage is not indicated because the battery is gone. Sorry. |

Mitsubishi Outlander, Evo to keep things safe at Pikes Peak
Tue, 18 Jun 2013Mitsubishi has already announced that it will be returning as a competitor to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with a pair of all-electric MiEV Evolution II racecars. In addition to these entrants, the automaker will also be the presenting sponsor of the race as well as providing the official safety vehicles to the event using specially prepped versions of the 2014 Outlander and Lancer Evolution.
While it isn't clear what exactly will be demanded of the safety vehicles, this isn't going to your run-of-the-mill pace car duty. To get the Outlander and Evo ready for the 156-turn, 12.42-mile course, Mitsubishi teamed up with companies such as BBS, Cobb Tuning, AEM and Muellerized Suspension Systems as well as DC Sports and Kenwood to create these one-off safety cars. These vehicles, and all the racecars, will be at Pikes Peak later this month for the 91st running of America's second-oldest racing event. Scroll down for the official press release.
Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander Sport named 2013 IIHS Top Safety Picks
Thu, 27 Dec 2012The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has added a pair of Mitsubishi models to its ever-growing list of 2013 Top Safety Picks, giving the prestigious safety award to the 2013 Outlander Sport and Lancer (sedan and Sportback). Both models make a return visit to the list, but with 117 cars now on the list and IIHS crash standards getting tougher just about every, this is big news for the small Japanese automaker.
Among small SUVs, the Outlander Sport is just one of nine vehicles in this segment to be named a Top Safety Pick, while the Lancer's name is surrounded by 28 other compact coupes, sedans and hatchbacks in the highly competitive small car segment. The Top Safety Pick status does not apply to the Lancer's Ralliart or Evolution variants, and neither the Outlander Sport nor the Lancer were subjected to the new small frontal offset crash test that would have resulted in the new Top Safety Pick+.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
Tue, 19 Mar 2013A Good Start On Halting The Slide
We'd like to say that Mitsubishi has had a tough time of it lately, but "lately" isn't exactly the proper descriptor since the brand's troubles have slowly built over the past decade or so. It cut back on its marketing and it cut model lines while leaving what remained in the equivalent of a product cryo-freeze. Then there was the financial crash and replacement models that didn't possess the same edge we expected from the house of the triple diamond. There was the lack of a North American chairman to fight for market-specific initiatives, and hence, models that lacked some of the details that US customers desired and that could sway buying choices in close races. True, that's a battle with an overseas headquarters that you'll hear from the US reps for almost every foreign automaker, but as you pile on the obstacles they multiply exponentially, not additionally. Or there's this: For more than a year, while its competition has been trumpeting new product, Mitsubishi hasn't had any new models. Like, at all.
That changes with the arrival of the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, an SUV that we're told will begin a new-product offensive over the next 18 months that - along with a much larger marketing budget - should begin to turn things around. This is the third generation of Mitsubishi's volume model, one that hasn't really been changed since it arrived in 2006 and wasn't just showing its age, but practically crowing about it.
