This vehicle is considered a classic because of its rarity; it is 865 out of 2000 built in 1991. It starts immediately, runs great, and handles beautifully. We have original purchase documentation, window sticker, original brochure, plus some articles written about the vehicle when it was new. Vehicle has an Alpine Radio/cassette player with 5 CD changer in trunk. Original radio available if desired.
History: I am the original owner - non-smokers - no pets. No rust - no mildew. Clean and smells clean.
Maintenance History: Service records available for routine maintenance. The timing belt was replaced twice: latest at 138,000 miles. New tires at 138,000 miles. Last oil chance 149,000 miles. Alternator replaced at 145846. New CV axles at 146240. New ECU at 128497.
Condition:. WILL NOT PASS SMOG IN CALIFORNIA. Must sell outside of Ca., Emits blue smoke and burns oil; low compression in 2 cylinders. Vehicle has had 2 "parking lot" fender benders. Both fenders on left side have been repaired and repainted. A/C does not work - probably needs new compressor. Aerial for radio is stuck in 3/4 up position. Wind shield wipers work, but the intermittent feature does not work, and wipers do not automatically return to the down position. One alloy wheel had a chip. Cracked tail light. 4 light bulbs are burned out.. Drivers side floor mat is torn. Wear is shown in various places on the leather seats and trim. Windshield has scratch and a crack. The photos show some of these problems.

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander unveiled with new look, standard seating for seven
Thu, 29 Nov 2012The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander wears the new face previewed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and adds a host of features on top of its seven standard chairs. Ditching the shark-nosed Lancer-inspired front has reduced drag, increased use of high-tensile steel means a 200-pound weight loss and the reworked 2.4-liter four-cylinder paired a CVT will all result in what Mitsubishi says is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in the seven-passenger segment. Looks-wise, around the rest of the vehicle come sharper sculpting and more character lines.
Reaching higher inside, the IP is now soft-touch, and a heavily restyled interior with woodgrain accents is more somber, but more elegant. Mod-cons have gone up a step, too: the 2014 Outlander getting a next-generation nav system, a power tailgate that can be opened from the driver's seat and safety tech like Lane Departure Warning.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution recalled over clutch woes
Fri, 25 Oct 2013Mitsubishi will be recalling over 10,000 Lancer Evolutions built between December 12, 2007 and March 5, 2013, covering model years 2008 to 2013. The recall only affects cars with manual transmissions, though, so if you opted for a Lancer Evo with a quick-shifting SST, this recall doesn't apply to you.
If you're one of the 10,474 people that has a Lancer Evo X GSR, which is the only way into a manual-trans Evo X, you need to plan a trip to your local dealer. The recall relates to a failure in the clutch master cylinder, making shifting in and out of gear difficult. Consequently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that this could increase the odds of crashing.
Mitsu will notify owners of the affected cars, and these Evo models will be repaired, free of charge, at dealerships. The recall is slated to begin around November 11. Scroll down for the full bulletin from the NHTSA.
Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency
Sun, 25 May 2014Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.
