Mini Cooper S on 2040-cars
Burlington, Vermont, United States
I have a 2003 Mini Cooper S with 75k miles on it. I got the car last August but have realized that it just doesn't fit with my lifestyle...mountain biking, skiing...not enough room in the car.
It is such a fun car to drive, especially when you realize it is still getting 30 mpg driving around town. The engine has had some work done on it. A new time chain assembly was installed in November. It runs extremely well. The engine is supercharged, which makes driving that much more fun. The rear brake pads and rotors were also replace in November. I am the third owner and have treated it very well. Full synthetic oil, 93 octane gas only. Its a great car! The car comes with a set of winter tires mounted onto steel rims as well. Summer tires have about 70% tread left and the winter tires about the same. Easily can get another two years out of them. Will accommodate any reasonable car pick-up needs. 6 Speed Manual Full Leather Interior Heated Seats Xenon Self Leveling Headlights Climate Control |

Sorting through the rat's nest that is Mini's model history
Sat, 13 Apr 2013What do Austin, Morris, British Motor Corporation, British Motor Holdings, British Leyland, Rover Group, and BMW all have in common? Each company has had a hand in bringing the world a sprightly, fuel-efficient, front-wheel-drive fun box on wheels - the Mini.
The Sir Alec Issigonis-designed car has been sold under more brand names and with more model designations than most of us would guess. For seven generations of the classic Mini, from 1959 to 2000, the car carried a bewildering number of model names as well. (Note that's even before BMW took over the nameplate, and starting building cars styled as "MINI" rather than "Mini" in 2001.)
As is its want, Hemmings Daily has taken the time to break down the complex lineage of the car, with a kind of model etymology that makes for a pretty entertaining read. Click over to the site to give it a go; but check out our gallery of classic Mini pictures before you jump.
Mini Paceman Adventure photos arrive by the trucklette-load
Fri, 25 Apr 2014Yesterday, we brought you the news of the existence of this Mini Paceman Adventure tiny truck, and the story of how it came to be. Long story short: it was a lighthearted collaboration between apprentices and instructors at parent BMW plants in Germany. The mini-sized pickup bed and off-road kit may not make the Paceman All4 actually practical, but we'd argue that they do make the one-off fairly loveable.
Apparently the Mini photographers agree with that "loveable" part. We'd heard that there were some better, higher-resolution images of the Paceman Adventure on the way, but we didn't expect there to be hundreds of them. But as you can see, the shooters went out and thoroughly documented the pickup, shooting it in several locations, still and moving, and documenting some of its construction as well. Find your favorite in the massive gallery of images, above.
Mini Art Beat is a loud, driving social media billboard
Sat, 10 Aug 2013
Video billboards are nothing new, but a video on a moving car that's blaring music? Now that's something that will catch your attention - especially if you're driving alongside it in the streets of London.
That's the exact intent of Mini's new Art Beat, a Cooper Countryman turned marketing device that is custom-fitted with a staggering 48,000 LEDs. On its nightly drives through the city, the compact crossover showcases brightly colored videos, graphics and animations contributed by people around the world via social media. The Mini Space Blog describes the Art Beat as the "most vibrant and customizable NOT NORMAL ride you'll ever lay eyes on."
