1967 Mini Cooper Cooper, Hatchback, Green, Auto 1.3l Rhd on 2040-cars
Evans Mills, New York, United States
Perfect investment opportunity for a Mini enthusiast. I am asking less than fair market value. I reserve the right to terminate this auction should the vehicle be sold prior to the auction's end. This vehicle is for sale on the locally. Email me for more details. This vehicle is also equipped with an 85 amp alternator to eliminate any electrical issues. This vehicle does not run and has a "metal" sounding knock. It is an automatic mini however the transmission will not engage into any gear, reverse, etc. The interior has some minor weathering and the driver's seat sinks in when you sit in it. Overall interior is fair. There is some dents that can be repaired on the right front and left rear see pictures for details. The left rear tail light assembly was replaced in February. Some of the trim is missing around the fenders and I have the replacement trim still sitting in the packaging. I also have numerous other spare parts that will go with the car. Vehicle does not have a lien and comes with a transferable New York registration as New York does not issue titles for vehicles before 1981. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I can assist in choosing a shipper and will aid in the delivery of the vehicle if sold near the Greater Syracuse NY area (75 mile radius from vehicle location). Vehicle is sold AS IS WHERE IS. |

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).
How Mini shacked up with John Cooper
Fri, 31 Jan 2014The late Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis, Alec Issignonis to his Internet friends, designed a car that was sold as the Morris Mini-Minor, the Austin Seven and later the Austin Mini. Go to the Mini USA website and check out the models, though, and every one of them is called a Cooper of some sort, e.g., Mini Cooper Paceman or Mini Cooper S Roadster. So who is Cooper?
It's probably obvious that it's the same Cooper we get in "John Cooper Works," those JCW Minis that always make up the top of the line. But many probably don't know that that John Cooper, founder of John Cooper Cars, is the same man who accidentally got the motorsports world to switch to rear-engined race cars and the same Formula One constructor who won two titles in 1959 and 1960 and who fielded drivers like Bruce McLaren and Stirling Moss.
On its way to driving the Mini John Cooper Works GP II, XCAR goes back to the beginning to find out when Alec met John, and how the first Mini Cooper came out in 1961, two years after the first Mini. You can watch the story and the car review in the video below.
Mini Clubman Bond Street inspired by London shopping
Sun, 27 Jan 2013Mini again plucks a London landmark as the appellation for a special edition, the Mini Clubman Bond Street joining the Mayfair and Camden, and Bayswater and Baker Street editions of the recent past. You'll recognize the formula of primary color and polished contrasting color, in this case its Midnight Black Metallic for the main event and Cool Champagne for the highlights like the roof, mirror caps and trim rings on the 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside it's Carbon Black leather set off by surfaces in Deep Champagne and the Chrome Line package.
It will premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March before going into production for a limited run that same month. Four engines will be offered, with on-the-road prices ranging from 20,275 pounds ($31,961 US) in the UK for the 122-horsepower gas engine to 24,045 pounds ($37,918 US) for the 143-horsepower SD diesel version. A press release below will tell you all you wish to know.
