For sale is a clean 1979 classic mini cooper s. It is a original right hand drive car. I purchased this vehicle with the intentions of a full restoration. I need to consolidate some of my projects and this is one of the casualties. Car is not perfect and should be considered a project. Car comes with rebuilt engine and trans, NEW alternator, distributer, and starter. Car does have rust at the door sills, I was told this is pretty common, and the replacement panels are only 65.00 each. in the trunk picture the area for the spare tire is only surface rust, not rusted through. I found someone local who swapped in a Honda engine and purchased all of his extra parts including a running engine and trans. The engine is currently not installed and car is not running. Car comes with cobra racing seats installed. also comes with factory front seats
Comes with a lot of extra parts, including extra engine, extra shifting box, carbs, wiring harness and much more. Please contact me with any questions. I am not a professional mechanic and I will do my best to portray the vehicle accurately, however it is being sold as is. Please call with any questions Joe 732-533-3143
Shipping is buyers responsibility however I will box up parts and help load car. I can arrange for local deliveries

We wouldn't buy a car to make a dog happy, but Mini's latest commercial, Bullheaded, would have you believe that dogs like the new 2014 Cooper as much as humans. Regardless of the commercial's target audience (Spike The Bulldog, or his owner?), it does show a couple new tidbits about the car, such as the new center dial touchscreen, ambient lighting and the nifty tinted pop-up display on top of the dashboard that reminds us of the head-up display on the new Mazda3.
Head below to watch Spike and his owner drive the Mini in Downtown Los Angeles (and the back lots of Paramount), and to get a behind-the-scenes look at how the commercial was made.
The third generation of reborn Mini is nearly upon us. Just look at the trail of breadcrumbs the Anglo-Saxon automaker has been leaving us.
First we saw the upcoming new Mini Cooper, spied from above at a photo shoot, which Mini was quick to point out was not its best angle. Then BMW's retro-hatch division showcased the Mini Vision concept, and followed up just yesterday with details of the new engines and chassis that will underpin the latest model. And now we have the clearest batch of spy shots we've seen yet.
Not only were these shots taken from a better angle, but also show the new Mini in the more tempting Cooper S trim - complete with hood scoop, split-spoke alloys, roof spoiler and twin central exhaust tips.
Mini gave us our first taste of its next-generation John Cooper Works Hardtop in concept form at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. And in fact, we already know that the production version will make its debut at the 2015 Detroit show in January. Fitting, then, that this most recent round of spy shots shows a JCW that's pretty much ready to roll - peel back that yellow swirly paper, and you've pretty much got the final deal.
It's easy to make out the final design for the revised front and rear fascias, and we can clearly see a more robust brake package nestled behind those alloy wheels. Speaking of, we must admit, the wheels here look rather pedestrian for a JCW model, but they could just be prototype rollers and not indicative of the final rolling stock. We expect the flashy red decals of the concept to be offered on the production model, as well, though they could be optional kit.
As reported earlier, power is expected to come from a 230-horsepower turbo-four - a modest increase over the 208 hp from the outgoing Mini JCW. Expect that to route through a six-speed manual transmission, sending turbocharged oomph to the front wheels.
