Virginia Beach, Virginia, United States
your bidding pleasure is my very rare and well-kept example of a 1972 Austin
Mini Cooper!! This is a rare Right Hand Drive model and it is not your average
mini... This mini started life as a mini 1000 but has had a significant
horsepower bump with the following engine modifications:
out A+ 1275
flat top pistons
help this speedy Mini Cooper shift it has:
final drive ration (Cruising at 80-85mph can be done easily with normal engine
what about driving around the corners and come to a safe and quick stop:
ride height suspension cones
degree camber control arms
caster angle. (Note: all suspension work completed in 2012)
front brake conversion... you heard me, DISK FRONT BRAKES!!
new Brake Master cylinder installed January 2014.
legal racing tires
Corbeau reclining seats
CD player and Speakers
about rockers or floor pans!? Well Don't!! WHY?
floor pan (there is still light rust holes in floor pan but is currently in drivable
and stable condition!)
this car was set up to accelerate quickly, go around turns like a GO-KART and
stop safely. The paint is a few years old and is in good condition. I will be
including Thule roof rack as well. I have a clean Virginia title in hand ready
to transfer!!! All turn signals, and lights work, the windshield wipers even
work! Oil pressure and gas gauges work along with the aftermarket cd player,
this thing can be driven everyday!! The odometer and speedometer are INOP due
to an old cable needing replacement, this is really the only thing that I would
want to fix but have gotten used to driving without those two items.
VIN # XA2S1N617371A

Few automakers have managed to spin off as many variants of essentially one vehicle as Mini has. The second generation produced even more versions than the first, and now that the third generation is upon us, the process is starting all over again. The jury may still be out on whether parent company BMW will roll out as many body-styles of this latest Mini as it did with the last, but here's our first indication.
Following the introduction of the new three-door Mini hatchback at the LA Auto Show, the Anglo-Saxon marque has introduced a new five-door model. Or four-door, depending on which Mini office you're speaking to: while this new model - an addition to the lineup and not a direct replacement for anything previously offered - is called the Mini 5 door by the factory, here in the US it's called the Mini Hardtop 4 door. Whatever you call it, though, this new Mini is essentially the same as the three-door model (or two-door model with a tailgate), only with - you guessed it - two extra doors. The new Clubman will be a separate model altogether.
Mini likes to make a big hullabaloo about the number of ways its cars can be configured, which currently stands at 10 million. While that figure is impressive, the BMW-owned brand is always looking for new and unique design variations, a trend that has seen a number of special-edition Minis pop up over the years boasting unique color and trim items.

For the new, third-generation F56 Mini, the British brand is at it again. Only this time, the cars are designed and chosen by Mini's fans in a new contest. Called "The New Originals," Mini teamed its 10 Final Test Test Drive winners with an illustrator to design their perfect Mini, one of which will become the next special-edition model.
The ten cars are currently being voted on by the brand's fans on the Mini USA website, with the winner set to be announced at the 2014 New York Auto Show in April. A total of 56 examples of the winning entry will then be put on sale, making this one of the most limited of Mini's many limited editions. Voting closes on February 19, so hop over to the page and vote for your favorite.
A French marketing firm with the impenetrable name of Street Glory Mappers is literally turning cars into billboards. Of course, we've all seen vehicles painted up for promotional use, but this company is taking that concept even further by including video.
Street Glory Mappers equips the vehicles with a large video screen behind the windshield to play whatever is being advertised. According to the company's promo, it may even be possibly to sync up the vehicle's lights with the show, as well. The firm claims that it's a great form of temporary, mobile marketing because the car can arrive at the location, play the video and then go away when the prospective audience leaves.
While it doesn't necessarily seem any more effective than other forms of advertising, the firm's idea is at least unobtrusive. After all, it's easier to ignore a stationary car than a person handing out flyers. However, vehicle flashing its lights and playing video could certainly distract other drivers.
