I bought this one owner 1995 mercury tracer from a friend who owns a junk yard. he told me that it was owned by an old lady who kept it in a barn .he put in new tires front brakes one axel , tierod ends and a flex pipe .so I bought it. I took it to my mechanic to have timing belt ,water pump, trans service with filter , cooling system flush and new back brakes . got it on the road now and driving it. I go back to see my friend at the junk yard and he had a Subaru outback for sale so I bought it . now I want to sell this car. it is well taken care of, my mechanic told me he did all the service for the lady . so this car is perfect. I am driving it 100 miles a day, great gas mileage price is firm because that's what I got into it. if you need a nice dependable car for your wife or kids this will run for another 100.000 miles. please email me number it is still registered and with a sticker form nh. Jill Wagner retired as Mercury spokeswoman

Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

NHTSA probing 2000-2003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable models over throttle issue

A potential issue with the speed control cable collar has got the 2003-20003 Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable under the spotlight of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. If the collar breaks it can cause the throttle to be stuck open.
The issue is limited to vehicles with the 3.0-liter V6 Duratec. There are just 50 complaints so far out of 310,000 cars, but the NHTSA has begun an investigation into whether a recall should be issued.
