1991 Grand Marquis
ONE OWNER
NO RESERVE
58K Original Miles

This is a great example of a ONE OWNER, garaged Grand Marquis.
This car is definite collector car material.  The value of these great cars keeps climbing.
With the low ORIGINAL MILES the sky could be the limit.

This car came from the factory with many great options including power seat, vinyl top, 5.0 V8, auto on lights, power windows and locks,
cruise control, air conditioning, automatic transmission, aluminum wheels and so much more.  It runs and drives great.  The interior is near perfect and the pictures
speak for themselves. The wheels are also in great shape with goodyear tires that are about 95% tread.  The undercarriage is rust free, squeak free and rattle free.
The car even appears to have the original exhaust on it.  The body is in great shape.  There is a dent in the left rear quarter, but as you can see in the pictures, it is barely
noticeable.  There are a couple spots on the the passenger front door that have been brush touched and a couple parking lot dents here and there ... but it is a great example
of a rust free, low mileage collector.  It would take a little work to be perfect, but like I said, the pictures speak for themselves.  I would hop in this car and drive it anywhere.
There will be a $100 documentation fee added to the final price and NYS residents will be responsible for sales tax.  There are no other hidden charges and I am willing to help
with any shipping needs.  Again, this is a NO RESERVE auction, so good luck, and thanks for looking.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

Wed, 05 Jan 2011

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

Ford finally issues recall for 230K minivans over rust problems

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

The rust issue in the rear wheel wells of 2004-2007 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans has finally led to a recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began an investigation into the matter in 2011, said investigation being upgraded to an engineering analysis a year later while NHTSA tried to figure out how many model years should be included in the assessment.
Ford has decided to recall all of the 230,000 minivans potentially affected, namely those sold in salt-belt states and countries like Canada. The excess rust in the rear wheel wells was also able to prevent the third-row seats from locking to the floor of the minivan. To repair the problem, owners can take their minivans to dealers, and the dealers will place new panels in the wheel wells, replace the third-row seat mounting brackets and relocate the latches to an area away from any corrosion.
Ford says it will begin notifying owners during the last week of March.

Jill Wagner retired as Mercury spokeswoman

Wed, 17 Nov 2010

Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.
Thanks for the tip, Gregg!
