. straight and solid car , solid frame . has new brakes and shocks , fuel tank & sending unit , brake and fuel lines . the paint work is 2 years old and looks good , no rust bubbles there may be a very small stone chip or scratch somewhere . aluminum wheels and bfg tires. subframe connectors , has new cd player and new deck speakers and door speakers.power steering and front disc brakes . new carpet ,seats recovered, and look like new , new head liner . most of the chrome has been rechromed at super fine shine ( of Ohio ) keep in mind this car is 44 years old ( NOT NEW) but very nice will make a fine addition to your collection just sitting in my pole barn covered waiting for a new home. only selling because i am moveing ! Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes

Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15. Jill Wagner has officially given up her crown as the queen of Mercury. With the Ford middle child on its way to the scrap heap, Wagner no longer has any automotive hardware to promote. Given her varied talents, we wouldn't be surprised to see her pick up where she left off with another automaker.
And here you thought you'd never be upset about Mercury's passing.
