I Have For Sale My 2001 Mercedes CLK320 Convertible. The Vehicle Is In Very Good Condition Inside And Out. This Is A Solid, Very Reliable Vehicle. Transmission Shift Smooth!! I would Drive This Car ANYWHERE With Out Hesitation!! The Outside Of The Vehicle Doesn't Have Any Dents Or Dings That I Can See. There Is A Scratch On The Drivers Side By The Door Handle And A Couple Of Very Fine Scratches By The Fuel Door Which Can Probably Be Buffed Out. The Paint Is In Very Good Condition With No Fading Or Chipping. The Interior Is In Very Good Condition (The Drivers Seat Has A Small Tear) But Other Than That Everything Else Is In Like New Condition. On The Inside Back Window The Plastic Part That Goes Around The Window A Small Piece Broke Off From Letting The Top Down But Doesn't Affect The Operation Of The Top At All. I Replaced The Factory Radio With A Sony AM/FM CD Player But Will Also Include The Factory Radio. The Speakers Work Could Use Some New Ones. I Replaced The Front Brakes/Rotors, Rear Tires Are New, Front Has Approx. 3/4 Life. Also did A 4 Wheel Alignment. 2014 Mercedes S-Class priced lower from $92,900*
Mon, 09 Sep 2013The massively overhauled 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will start at $92,900, not including a $925 destination fee, when it arrives at US dealers in October. That's a 2.8-percent drop over the 2013 S-Class, although Mercedes is fast to point out that a drop in price doesn't equate with a drop in equipment for the executive sedan.
Besides an extra 20 horsepower from the 4.6-liter, biturbocharged V8, the S550 sports a standard panoramic sunroof, keyless start, a rear-view camera and LED headlights, taillights and interior lights. Adding the German manufacturer's 4Matic all-wheel-drive system bumps the S550's price up to $95,900.
If the S550 doesn't quite cut the mustard, you can wait until November, at which point Mercedes will quite happily sell you the new S63 AMG 4Matic for $139,500. Power is also up on the S63, from a max of 563 ponies with an AMG Performance Package to 577 horsepower as standard on the 2014 model.
Firing of M-B boss upheld
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
Mercedes-AMG teases GT interior, announces fall 2014 debut
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz opted to tease the assembled media at its post-New York Auto Show party, showing off a pair of images of the exquisitely crafted interior of the highly anticipated successor of the SLS AMG - the V8-powered Mercedes-AMG GT.
Slated for a debut in the fall at either Paris or Los Angeles (we're betting Paris), you'll note straight away that there's something wrong with this car's name. Where's the "Benz?" Well, it's been ditched to, as Mercedes says, "make the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car come true." Sorry Karl.
"The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before," said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG.
