Very Nice 1975 Mercedes 450sl Convertible Two Top Roadster. on 2040-cars

Up for auction is a very nice, and well maintained 1975 Mercedes 450 SL Roadster. This Mercedes lived most of its life in Arizona, owned by a older couple, then in 2007 the daughter bought the car from her mother. The car has always been garage kept, and it shows. Nice straight body, with one repaint, only because the mother wanted a blue car, it was originally silver. The paint is nice but it dose have a couple of very small chips. (You must look at pictures closely to see them.) Regular service has been done through out its life. Recent work consists of new fuel pump, new plugs, plug wires, tune up, replaced seals, and gaskets for oil pan. The interior looks fresh, with new seat upholstery, original door panels, and carpeting, all look great. The dash pad dose have a crack down the middle, on the top. All gages work as they should, as dose all the electrical, lights, windows, etc. The only thing on the car that dose not work is the clock. (Could be a fuse.) Newer Michelin radials are on original Mercedes chrome wheels, looks great. Both tops do come with the car, hard top, and folding black cloth soft top. Each top is very nice. This car runs, and drives as you would expect a fine 450 SL Mercedes would. No problems with this car. I'm listing this little Mercedes for the daughter, it's just been sitting, and she never drives it. Her husband just drove the car, 400 miles to me, so I could list it for her. Mercedes-Benz to build new ML coupe-crossover in Alabama in 2015
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz will expand its factory in Tuscaloosa, AL, to build the ML Coupe, a new crossover that will join its lineup in 2015. Mercedes will also ramp up production to build facelifted versions of the M-Class and GL-Class SUVs, lifting the factory's total production capacity to about 300,000 units annually in 2015. It made 185,000 vehicles in 2013. In addition to SUVs, the Tuscaloosa site also makes the C-Class sedan.
The plans come as part of Mercedes' strategy to capitalize on Americans' increasing demands for SUVs. The company said the SUV market was up 12 percent in first half of 2014, and expects it to grow at twice the rate of the regular market in 2015 and 2016.

New Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe spied in revealing state of dress
Tue, 19 Feb 2013During a product briefing earlier this year, Mercedes-Benz told us that 2013 would be the "year of the S-Class." Makes sense, too, since the flagship Mercedes is so very close to finally showing its production-ready face. But the high-tech saloon isn't the only S-Class to talk about this year - quite the contrary. Seen here in decidedly revealing camouflage, the new S-Class Coupe will be joining its four-door compadre in the not-too-distant future, as well.
When it launches, the S-Class Coupe will officially do away with the CL-Class nomenclature. This doesn't come as a huge shock. After all, when the new E-Class coupe and convertible were launched, it officially marked the end of the long-running CLK-Class designation.
Thanks to the interesting camouflage seen here, we have a very good glimpse at how the S-Class Coupe will look when all of the molding and swirly paper are peeled off. Rakish body lines pulled from the CLS-Class meet a much more dynamic front fascia. Out back, there are horizontal taillamps rather than the vertical units used on the current car, and the whole package seems very svelte. Our spy photographer even posits that this will be "the best-looking car from Mercedes-Benz in ages."
Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
