Offered for your consideration is this S600 Mercedes sedan. I bought this car last year for my wife. We have driven Mercedes for the last 20 years and have had wonderful ownership experience. My other Benz is a 420 SEL which I LOVE to drive but my wife no longer wished to drive it because it does not have many of the newer features like remote key, auto lights, etc. So we bought this car based on condition, features and the drive performance as well as the previous ownership by a surgeon who meticulously maintained the car. We have a 4 page service history by Mercedes dealership for the car. It was taken in for every warranty service check as well as the most minor concerns that could be imagined. We took the car to a Benz dealer after purchasing for assessment and was told that the coil packs were needing to be replaced. I could not believe it because the car ran so well. Based on this I chose not to repair the coil packs assuming that if they failed in the future we would replace them at that time, bad decision! The failing coil packs caused a failure in the transmission and the car became not drivable. At this point she became frustrated and we bought another car. I have since had the coil packs replaced and the transmission rebuilt and have put brand new V rated tires on the car at an expense of over 5000.00 dollars. My loss is your gain. This is an amazing car that cost over 150,000.00 in 2005. The V12 Twin Turbo is scary fast when asked, and it has every feature you could want. Gullwing America turns SLS AMG Roadster into stunning 1955 300 SC redux
Thu, 14 Feb 2013Gullwing America specializes in what it calls "retro styling meets modern technology." It's next demonstration of that is the convertible above, a stylized recreation of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SC (inset) supported by the structure of a 2012 SLS AMG Roadster. Commissioned by a client in Eastern Europe, the resulting car is called the 300 SLC.
The hand-formed aluminum bodywork required just a few changes to the SLS AMG Roadster, namely reworking the headlights into a stacked arrangement of LEDs and relocating the pop-up spoiler behind the cabin. The retro grille and long, straight hood evoke the past, the custom exhaust, height-adjustable suspension, 21-inch wheels up front and 22-inch wheels in back, however, stray a little further from history. The 300 SLC will come with a hardtop and be one-of-a-kind, making it even rarer than its inspiration, of which 92 were made.

2015 Mercedes C-Class order guide leaked
Wed, 23 Apr 2014We may not have an official starting price for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but as of right now, we can tell you about all the options for the eagerly anticipated new luxury sedan.
Benz Report has the entire order guide for the C-Class, with breakdowns from package pricing to how many different colors, wheel designs and lighting configurations will be available when the new model hits dealers later this year. As we mentioned in our initial review of the C-Class, there will be a pair of engine options, with the now familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations and a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, which can be had in all-wheel drive, only.
From there, though, the available options are impressive. Much like it does on the current car, Mercedes is offering a pair of packages that sort of define the entire car. With the C300, buyers will have the choice of either a Sport or Luxury package in addition to the base trim, while C400 buyers are limited to the Sport model.
Europe getting special Mercedes-Benz CLA Edition 1
Mon, 11 Feb 2013Last week when we saw the leaked ordering guide for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class, one particular image caught our eye showing the interior of the new sedan with a neon yellow stripe on the seats and yellow stitching throughout the cabin. As it turns out, this will be part of a limited-edition model called the Edition 1 about which Mercedes-Benz just released some information.
Usually, automakers wait until later in a vehicle's life to introduce special models like this, but the Edition 1 will be available right out of the gate for the first 12 months the CLA-Class is on sale. The 2014 CLA-Class Edition 1 includes the more aggressive Sport package adding AMG-style fascias and wheels, Bi-Xenon headlights and a lowered suspension; it will be offered only in five colors - unfortunately, Northern Lights Purple is not one of them. In addition to the bright yellow cabin accents, the Edition 1 will get sport seats wrapped in leather and microfiber, a sporty, flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather and real aluminum trim on the instrument panel.
With no mention of the US, we're only left to imagine that this car will not be arriving on our shores, but customers in Europe will definitely be able to enjoy the mean styling and funky interior with prices ranging from 35,402 euros up to 43,940 euros.
