The interior of the S430 is in incredibly nice condition. It has Charcoal Gray (almost Black) genuine leather heated  seats with beautiful walnut accents on the dash and door panels. The seats are also fully adjustable "multi-contour."  The upper dash is also finished in this darker gray color to prevent glare. The car has the BOSE audio system upgrade which sounds excellent. It also has a power sunroof. This S430 has theoptional rear shade. There is a power sunshade for the rear window. This Mercedes has dual front airbags, as well as front side airbags positioned in the front and rear doors. There are also side curtain airbags for the front and rear passengers. Both front seats are, of course, fully power with controls on the doors. The steering wheel is also power operated and it tilts and telescopes. There is a set of the original carpet floor mats included, and they are in reasonably good condition. The genuine wool carpets under them are in nice shape as well. It also has a very nice DVD-based navigation system, as well as a 6-CD changer and cassette player. Also, check out the Vanity mirrors for the rear seat passengers. Very cool!

The exterior of this S430 is in incredible condition, and is Brilliant Silver in color. It really makes the car stand out, and the condition of the paint is absolutely gorgeous. This is the most common color on these cars, and it's easy to see why. The car looks just stunning in this bright silver color. The exterior of this car could EASILY pass for a car with 50k miles on it. Its condition is incredible! This car was very well cared for, and it really shows. Please note that there are some scrapes along the bottom of the front bumper from parking stops.. Otherwise, there are minimal scratches or chips.

The tires are all matching. The brakes are in  good shape and the car stops as it should. This S430 drives just like you'd expect a Mercedes to drive. It's very smooth, while still handling well. The engine and transmission operate properly. The AirMatic system operates properly and does not lose pressure or lean. This car is an incredible find, and is something that you would be delighted to own.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

Now Even Sharper Than The Razor's Edge
There have been five Black Series models since the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG Black Series introduced itself to European audiences in 2006. Following that, the Black Series club has hosted appearances by the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2009 SL65 AMG Black Series and last year's 2013 C63 AMG Black Series. The sixth member of the group is one we would have thought already was a Black Series car in its standard guise. Right out of the box, the SLS AMG is loud, frenetic, cozy, boisterous and frightfully easy to oversteer. How much more Black did it need to get?
Quite a bit so, apparently. The SLS AMG Black Series has lost weight, gained power and been refitted with upgrades and aero bits from front to rear. If you liked the way it looked before, you'll probably be an even bigger fan of this one. If you thought it looked ungainly, well, this one should stay even further away from pageants. Regardless of where you come down this is the best SLS AMG variant we've driven.

Mercedes testing C-Class plug-in hybrid modes in Germany

Wed, 07 May 2014

Testing appears to be underway for what would be the first Mercedes-Benz C-Class with a hybrid powertrain. We can see a pair of the prototypes undergoing testing in Germany, with one, a C-Class Wagon, still heavily clad in camouflage and featuring a more noticeable outlet on the passenger side of its rear bumper.
There's also a more production-looking sedan, which features a not-so-discreet flap over its rear-bumper outlet. It's difficult to speculate on power outputs for this fuel-sipping C-Class, although our spies seem to think that this car will feature some combination of a four-cylinder gas engine with an electric motor, although just which four is unclear (note, we wouldn't mind if MB fit its 2.0-liter turbo with some batteries and motors). Regardless, the four-pot/electric motor seems like a pretty reasonable combo, although it probably means that Mercedes won't be challenging the six-cylinder-powered system of the BMW ActiveHybrid3 any time soon.
When the plug-in C-Class arrives later this year as a 2015 model, it will likely offer a full range of driving modes, including both gas or electric, only, as well as a more traditional hybrid mode.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Mercedes-Benz upgraded its SLS flagship Coupe and Roadster for the 2013 model year, and the changes are marked with them new "GT" nomenclature. Both SLS models arrive with a retuned naturally aspired 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque (the horses are up from 563, but the torque remains the same) mated to a revised seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch gearbox. Rounding out the mechanical upgrades is a redeveloped AMG two-mode adaptive suspension. Physically, the revised models are differentiated by their new "GT" badging, darkened headlight/taillight buckets, red brake calipers, unique wheel colors and high gloss finish on the front grille, exterior mirrors and hood/fender fins. Inside the cabin are new red seatbelts, Alcantara upholstery and contrasting red stitching.
As it is nearly impossible to experience the aluminum gullwing beast on public roads, Mercedes invited out to Southern California's Willow Springs to wring out the 2013 SLS GT Coupe on a racing circuit.
