2008 Mercedes-benz E63 Amg Strong Books/records All Maint Done At Mb Dealers on 2040-cars
The Colony, Texas, United States
Here I have my E63 AMG up for sale with a low reserve! I am a Chef by profession and it's not practical for use in my business. I cant carry Chafing dishes and warmers in it. Therefore, I am having to sell it. I bought this car from Mercedes-Benz of Lindon and had it shipped to Hyde Park, New York. It resided in New York with me for 3 months until I came back home to Dallas in October.ExteriorThe car is finished in Flint Gray Metallic on black interior. The paint is glossy wet and has never been scratched. The previous owner was meticulous with the car and when he purchased the car from Mercedes-Benz of Lindon, he also purchased an auto detail package for him to bring it in to have it detailed anytime he wanted. Fortunately, it shows! One of the reasons I picked this car, is because it hides dirt and dust better than black, and it's in pristine condition! I use Meguiars car wash, Zymol wax and Liquid Glass auto polish that is used on airplanes. The paint doesn't have any swirls, scratches or dings, and it is straight!InteriorThe interior is finished in black leather and black alcantra material on the pillars, roof, and part of the front seats. The material is also known as ultra suede. The seats are soft and supple with perforations for the heated and cooled seating option. The seats don't have any tears, rips, stains, blemishes, or shows any signs of neglect. The carpet inside is as fresh as it is when it was new. There aren't any stains, rips, spills, or holes in the carpet. I also purchased genuine Mercedes-Benz all weather floor mats to protect the interior if it was raining, and just to protect the floor mats that are in the car. I also purchased a custom fitted sun shade to help protect the car from heat and the rays from the sun. Both the sun shade and mats go with the car. The wood in the car is a black birds eye maple. I like the color because it blends in well with the black upholstery. There is one area on the bottom of the drivers side right above the "AMG" door plate that has a wear spot. Not sure what happened, but it was something I got when I bought it from the MB dealer.MechanicalWhat can I say. I bought this car from Mercedes-Benz of Lindon and before I bought it, I had them send me the Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI). I told them that it was going to be a deal breaker if they didn't send it to me because it tells me everyting that had been done to the car it's whole life. I still have the email and I took pictures of the VMI, but you cant see everything from the picture. So, if you would like for me to send you an email of the history of this car, please email me, and I would gladly send it to you. I feel that with this caliber of a car, it's SO important to know the history! Another reason I bought it from an MB dealer. So, since I've had it, the only thing I've had done was I took it to a muffler shop to have the resonator cut out, so that it could run with straight pipes. thus, resulting in what an AMG should really sound like. It's impressive! I've also maintained the air pressure, washes, waxes, polishes, and had an "A" service done in October before I left back to Dallas. During my drive to Dallas, I was getting 21 MPG....not bad for such a big engine! As shown in one of the pictures, there are 5,643 miles left until a "B" service is needed. There is absolutely nothing that needs attention on this car. And, since it's in the garage, parked until the new owner comes to get it, it wont need attention. I always run Premium unleaded in this car, and I spare no expense to make sure that my car or my Wife's Mercedes. This is my 16th Mercedes I've owned, and I 'm also the Past President of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America's North Texas Section. So, I'm not just an individual with a "Benz" in the driveway. I'm the kind of individual that has the finished out garage, that keeps his cars squared away and clean. I believe in Preventative maintenance rather than repetitive maintenance. Should you need an inspection, I would be more than happy to take it over to Mercedes-Benz of Plano to have you pay for a "pre-purchase inspection"TiresTires on this car are almost brand new. they were put on just before the car was shipped to me from the MB dealer. they were put on by the previous owner, and they have at least 85% tread on them, if not more. The tires are Bridgestone Z rated Potenza's. And as you know, the tires cannot be rotated because of the different tire sizes from front to back. However, the tires are still in balance and good to go!The Fine PrintOkay, so here's the deal. If you've gotten this far, it's obvious that you are serious about my car, as I am serious about this auction. I believe in a fair ball game, and don't believe in people playing favorites. If you are serious, then bid. If not, and want to kick tires? go somewhere else and play...because Ima tell ya what. You bid, you meet the reserve, you just bought a car! If you fall through on the deal, expect a nasty negative feedback as it should be done. I have tried to describe everything to the best of my knowledge, and I don't have anything to hide. If you have questions, I would be glad to answer them for you. My name is Lee and my cell number is 214-325-3147. If I don't answer, please leave me a message. I will call you back. As far as price goes, I do have a reserve on it, but I believe it is priced fair for what it is. This car is not just an AMG that has been bought and sold by an independent dealer that doesn't have a solid paper trail. If you want a car that has no books and records, you will pay for it...now, and in the long run in maintenance. If you haven't checked on what a full brake job on this car is, it's not a $500 deal...try $5,000.00! So, if you want a damn good soild car, then here ya go! The title is clear but is held by my credit union. Once the funds, (bank wire, cashiers check, or cash) have been cleared, we can do one of two things. Go to the credit union and get the title OR the credit union will fed ex the title to you. It's up to you what you want to do. The Texas plate belongs to me and I have taken it off of the car. So, you will have to get a temporary plate through your DMV if you plan on driving it out of state or anywhere at that matter. Texas residents, as you can see from the pictures, the registration and inspection is good till June and October.ShippingIf you plan on coming down to Dallas, you have two choices in airports. You have D/FW and Dallas Love Field. If you do plan on coming down, I would be glad to coordinate a time to pick you up from either airport. If you have a shipper and want to ship it, I would be glad to meet them if needed close to the house so they can load it on the truck. I will do the inspection with the driver before it goes on the truck so that everything is legit. I'm flexible with whatever you want to do, just let me know. The car is being sold by me, and I am not a dealer or a third party. the car is being sold AS/IS-WHERE/IS, and no warranties are implied. I will ship and sell internationally as long as the bank is wired the funds. Once the funds are clear, the car goes on to a truck and then on a ship. If you need a shipper, I will be glad to help you. I've sold a Corvette for a friend of mine on here that went to Norway. It's not that much of a big deal. I wish everyone the best of luck, and you won't be sorry!Pictures

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Now Even Sharper Than The Razor's Edge
There have been five Black Series models since the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG Black Series introduced itself to European audiences in 2006. Following that, the Black Series club has hosted appearances by the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2009 SL65 AMG Black Series and last year's 2013 C63 AMG Black Series. The sixth member of the group is one we would have thought already was a Black Series car in its standard guise. Right out of the box, the SLS AMG is loud, frenetic, cozy, boisterous and frightfully easy to oversteer. How much more Black did it need to get?
Quite a bit so, apparently. The SLS AMG Black Series has lost weight, gained power and been refitted with upgrades and aero bits from front to rear. If you liked the way it looked before, you'll probably be an even bigger fan of this one. If you thought it looked ungainly, well, this one should stay even further away from pageants. Regardless of where you come down this is the best SLS AMG variant we've driven.
Firing of M-B boss upheld
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Ernst Lieb, the disgraced former CEO of American operations for Mercedes-Benz, will not be getting any more money from the Silver Arrow'd teat. His wrongful dismissal suit against MB's parent company, Daimler, was tossed out of a German appeals panel. This, followed the initial rejection by a lower court last year.
According to court documents acquired by Automotive News, Lieb was found to have "accepted payments of substantial value to which he - as he was aware - had no claim."
Lieb took over American operations from former CEO Paul Halata in September of 2006. Reports surfaced in October of 2011 that Lieb was dismissed from his posting at MB, with a variety of rumors swirling. Eventually, news broke that financial wrong doing was responsible for the German's firing.
2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe
Thu, 31 Jan 2013
Mercedes-Benz upgraded its SLS flagship Coupe and Roadster for the 2013 model year, and the changes are marked with them new "GT" nomenclature. Both SLS models arrive with a retuned naturally aspired 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque (the horses are up from 563, but the torque remains the same) mated to a revised seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch gearbox. Rounding out the mechanical upgrades is a redeveloped AMG two-mode adaptive suspension. Physically, the revised models are differentiated by their new "GT" badging, darkened headlight/taillight buckets, red brake calipers, unique wheel colors and high gloss finish on the front grille, exterior mirrors and hood/fender fins. Inside the cabin are new red seatbelts, Alcantara upholstery and contrasting red stitching.
As it is nearly impossible to experience the aluminum gullwing beast on public roads, Mercedes invited out to Southern California's Willow Springs to wring out the 2013 SLS GT Coupe on a racing circuit.
