2002 White Mercedes E430 (W210 body style).

Car has 19" Brabus Monoblock V wheels (19x8.5 in the front, 19x10.5 in the rear), H&R Springs, and Bilstein Shocks.

Also has Clear sidemarkers, Depo projector headlights, and an in-dash Mercedes Audio10 single disc CD player. (The car also has the hook-ups necessary to install the 6-disc CD changer in the trunk.

Car is being sold as is. This car is in good condition with a little under 129,000 miles. Car has resided in only Florida & southern California since I purchased it.

There is wear and tear on the car. You can see from the pictures, the steering wheel looks a bit worn, some of the LEDs don't work properly, the cup holder gets stuck from time to time. There are a few nicks around the vehicle, with more towards the front of the hood, and the headliner on the sunroof cover is coming off. (I've actually used clips on it that I've kept there for almost 3 years without any problem) The car does not have a hood ornament. All the windows & sunroof work and have auto-up and auto-down features.

A brand new battery was purchased and installed for the vehicle about 3 months ago. (first one since the original battery)

I just spent $325 getting this car detailed to bring it looking and feeling almost new.

The car does have a full size 19" spare wheel, however it is not a Brabus wheel.

The transmission was rebuilt less than 2 years ago. The radiator was replaced about 2 years ago as well.

Car has received it's regular maintenance since I purchased it in 2008.

Now I believe this vehicle is in good condition, and the rims alone are worth more than $1,000.00, but I need to get rid of this car, so I'm starting the auction well below KBB with no reserve.

Carlsson turns Mercedes-Benz SLK into 610-HP hill-climb clawer

Carlsson's race-tuned versions of the Mercedes-Benz SLK have been taking checkered flags for years, and we won't be surprised if its SLK 340 hill climber fares any different. Developed by multiple German and Swiss hill climb champion Reto Meisel, the carbon-bodied SLK 340 with lightweight brakes and a closed underbody weighs 1,716 pounds. Propelling that tiny bit of weight is a 3.4-liter V8 from Judd with 610 horsepower, and it rolls on 18-inch wheels shod in Avon tires.
It will debut at the Geneva Motor Show before beginning its racing campaigns in the summer. This one won't just tear up roads in Europe, though - Meisel says he plans on bringing it to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The press release below has more details.

Aston Martin and Daimler continue talks on SUV project, CEO required

The Aston Martin Lagonda SUV concept revealed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show didn't earn the plaudits the company is used to when it reveals new models, and it has lived an uncertain life ever since. Thought to have been scrapped along with the entire revival of the Lagonda brand, then thought to have been resurrected due to Chinese, Middle Eastern and Russian demand, another year passed before we heard more definitive talk about an Aston Martin expansion when AutoCar reported that the Lagonda could be built on one of Mercedes-Benz's AMG SUV platforms.
A report in Automotive News Europe indicates plans have gotten serious, its unnamed sources saying that the English carmaker is talking to Daimler "to extend their cooperation to building an SUV." Neither Daimler, Aston Martin nor Investindustrial, the managing partner among Aston Martin's ownership consortium, would comment. But with Investindustrial having pledged to expand the range, competitors like Bentley, Maserati and Lamborghini getting into the SUV racket and clear demand from current and future customers, it's easy to believe Aston Martin is working hard to put the pieces together.
One further potential bump on the road to an Aston SUV is the company's search for a new CEO. Ulrich Bez relinquished to top spot at the company at the end of 2013, and Aston reportedly will not finalize its model strategy without a new CEO in place.

Mercedes-Benz killing Maybach in 2013, replacing with S600 Pullman

According to an unnamed Mercedes-Benz source speaking with AutoWeek, the German automaker is killing off its Maybach line in 2013.
The unsurprising news comes after the brand was resurrected in 2002, but failed to meet sales expectations with its two core models, the Maybach 57 and 62. Further solidifying its fate, a deal with Aston Martin to aid in the development of future Maybachs fell through earlier this year.
According to the AutoWeek insider, the plan is to continue to sell both Maybach models through the end of 2013, after which the fifth-generation S-Class will go on sale. When that happens, three new variants of the S-Class will be available, including an all-new, range-topping S600 that brings back the Pullman moniker and may be better suited to competing with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
