You are bidding on 1996 Mercedes E320. This a 2 owner very well maintained Mercedes. It runs and drives like new. The engine, you can barely hear it running. Transmission shifts properly. Previous owners meticulously maintained this car with regular fluids changes, parts replacement. Only recently, this car had ignition coil, MAF sensor and spark plugs replaced. It still has factory original cell phone. There is no more service for these phones, but it's still in working condition. The car has famous Becker radio with cassette player and CD changer in the trunk. There is also power seats with driver side memory in this car. The interior is clean, never smoked in. Gray leather seats are showing signs of wear, which is normal, but no no rips or holes. It has full size spare wheel with jack and tools. This car was used by the last owner mostly for highway trips and it was taken care of accordingly. Don't pay much attention to the mileage, these cars were built to last forever. It has rock solid famous inline 6 engine and with proper maintenance it will make twice as much miles, period. A/C is ice cold. The car also has an amazing feature: the storage compartment under the armrest, has and A/C outlet in it, and when you open it, the cold air from A/C makes this compartment like a small fridge, for your drinks and snacks. How many cars with fridge did you see? The suspension is tight, yet very comfortable. Age and mileage means nothing for this car, it's still upscale luxury sedan and it runs and drives accordingly. Mercedes teams with Pebble for smartwatch tech
Tue, 24 Dec 2013Most automakers have realized by now that a good infotainment system is a must-have feature for many buyers, and have, as a result, invested increasing amounts of time and money developing these technologies. But some automakers are going above and beyond in-car entertainment and navigation technology by focusing on wearable technology as well.
Nissan has emerged as one such company, developing its own alternative to Google Glass and performance-oriented smartwatch. But Mercedes-Benz is also putting itself at the forefront of wearable tech - not by developing competing products to those designed by dedicated tech companies, but by working with them. The German automaker, as we recently reported, is developing its own app for Google Glass, and is now doing the same with smartwatches as well.
Set to be unveiled at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Mercedes has collaborated with Pebble Technologies to develop the Digital DriveStyle app. The system will display tell its wearer where the car is, whether the doors are locked and if it needs fuel. Inside the car it'll alert the driver to potential hazards coming up on the road, while making functions like re-routing the nav system, controlling the audio system or activating Siri that much easier.
Mercedes-AMG teases GT interior, announces fall 2014 debut
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz opted to tease the assembled media at its post-New York Auto Show party, showing off a pair of images of the exquisitely crafted interior of the highly anticipated successor of the SLS AMG - the V8-powered Mercedes-AMG GT.
Slated for a debut in the fall at either Paris or Los Angeles (we're betting Paris), you'll note straight away that there's something wrong with this car's name. Where's the "Benz?" Well, it's been ditched to, as Mercedes says, "make the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car come true." Sorry Karl.
"The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before," said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG.
Mercedes-Benz intros long-wheelbase E-Class for China
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Long-wheelbase sedans are a pretty hot commodity in China, and to keep up with the competition, Mercedes-Benz has introduced an extended version of the 2014 E-Class sedan at the Shanghai Motor Show. Audi, BMW, Volvo and even Cadillac offer extended versions of sedans specific to the Chinese market, and now the E-Class L, shown off in E400L guise, will give luxury sedan buyers in China yet another option.
Compared to the standard 2014 E-Class sedan, the new China-spec E-Class L has been stretched by 5.5 inches - all of which goes to the rear-seat passengers. According to an article on China View from earlier in the year, the market for chauffeur-driven cars is growing in the Asian nation, so automakers need long-wheelbase models like the E-Class L in order to fully compete. As for what powers this stretched E-Class, it's available in three models: the diesel E260L, the V6-powered E300L and the E400 Hybrid.
