You are looking at a rare AMG CLK55 convertible. Mercedes only built 1000 of these. I have owned this car since 2004 purchasing it from a Porsche dealer in which the original owner traded it in. It has been fanatically maintained at the Mercedes dealer and never driven in the winter. Just installed a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires all the way around about 2000 miles ago The wheels are the rare stock originals and have been custom painted to give some pizazz to the car. Bilstein shocks installed all the way around a few thousand miles ago. ALL documentation for everything that has been done to this Mercedes is catalogued in a 5" binder with every piece of paper in clear individual sheets so there is nothing left to the imagination on how this car was maintained. Original paint except for the front bumper cover and hood due to unsightly rock chips that were detracting from this beautiful car. Everything works, unbelievable classy car. No expense spared to preserve and maintain this automobile. The AMG models run like no other Mercedes models and operate like a precision sewing machine. The 5 speed auto transmission virtually anticipates your driving style and the performance is pretty amazing. 4 seat comfort in a performance convertible is hard to find nowadays!

Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept gets mobbed in China
Sat, 20 Apr 2013If the reception it received at the Shanghai Motor Show is any judge of marketplace acceptance, Mercedes-Benz has a hit on its hands in the form of the GLA Concept. And we can understand why - we're quickly becoming fans of Mercedes' recent styling language, as defined by new models like the CLA and this GLA Concept.
The big news on the exterior front are the headlamp clusters, which have frickin' laser beams attached to their foreheads embedded inside that are capable of projecting videos and images on a screen. Plus, a pair of video cameras are mounted on the roof that can be used to capture driving excitement or removed and taken with you. How cool is that? We just hope they have a substantial locking mechanism to prevent would-be thievery...
If the exterior is mostly ready for production, with a few of the more outlandish elements moved to the trash bin - like, for instance, laser-beam headlamps and removable action cams - the interior is a true custom job that screams concept loud and clear. There are all kinds of jewel-like finishes inside, along with transparent surfaces showing what looks like metal latticework underneath and some awfully thick looking leather with massive exterior stitching done by hand similar to what you'd find on a baseball glove.
AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away
Mon, 16 Sep 2013After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
