You are bidding on a 1993 Mercedes-Benz 300TE 4 Matic Wagon. It comes with a 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300TE parts car (which is not currently running, you will need to tow) to assist with restoring the vehicle.

The car belonged to a long time customer who no longer uses it. It has been kicking around our shop for too many years and needs to go to someone who can appreciate and give it the attention it needs.

6 Cylinder Engine starts right up and runs very well.

Automatic transmission shifts well.

Custom tobacco leather upholstery installed throughout by our shop approximately 8 years ago.

Blauplunkt radio/cd works great.

Windows work, sunroof works, AC does not.

The issues with the car are as follows:

-It has been sitting for 3+ years with only occasional starting.

-The transfer case leaks oil and it drips onto the exhaust causing some smoke fumes. You can drive the car down the road with no issues, but the oil leak will need to be addressed. For this reason we are including an entire parts car (1991 Mercedes-Benz 300TE 4Matic), with a good transfer case should you choose to swap it.

-The clear coat of the paint is oxidized and peeling in many places.

-There oil level light is on, however the oil level is fine and the oil pressure (as can be seen on the dash) is excellent. There is an issue with the sensor

-The antilock brake light is on.

Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Prices start at 105,050 euros for the diesel and 118,650 euros for the V8. You can check out the full press release below for more information.

Mercedes CLA45 AMG Racing is ready for a spot on the grid

Mercedes-Benz trotted out its CLA45 AMG-based racer at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. We first showed you the sedan in the deluge of news and reveals that precedes most good auto shows, and were blown away by the car, formally known as the CLA45 AMG Racing Series.
We were strolling by the Mercedes stand, and figured we'd pop in and take a look at the new racer and its carbon-fiber body panels, gutted interior, and race-sourced aero parts. It's a looker, both as a road car and a track weapon. It's not clear what series the CLA45 AMG will qualify for, although it does seem like a shoe-in for the World Touring Car Championship. AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away

After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
