2003 Mercedes SL500 convertible with 37,743 original miles!

People always say the car was driven by a little old lady.  In this case it is true, she is my wife who is 68.

This is a two owner car, has been kept in a heated garaged, well maintained and serviced. The desert sand paint shows wonderfully and the black interior and looks like new! This SL500 comes with all owner’s Manuals & original set of keys.

One of a kind,  IMMACULATE SL500!  If you are a SL fan, then this SL is the one for you! Pure PERFORMANCE, ELEGANCE and COMFORT is what you get with this Mercedes. It has the finest plush leather interior, covered with wood trim throughout.

This is a sleek, sexy, and fast automobile in like new condition. The SL500 is equipped with a V8 engine, mated to an automatic sport transmission. This powerful combo combines luxury and Elegance giving the SL500 a very comfortable driving experience. The interior is in excellent  condition.

Over the years, I owned a leasing firm and purchased many cars thru it for my wife.  I purchased this SL500 2006 with less than 10,000 miles from a friend at Chicago Merecedes Dealer.  It has been driven less than 30,000 miles in the past 9 years by my wife.  Now that her health is failing, I have been selling off her cars.

Car fax reported an accident for this car on 8-20-2006 in Eastlake, Ohio.   This is an error.  The local Mercedes dealer, Leikin Mercedes in Willoughby can support that this car has never been in an accident.

I encourage anyone who has a sincere interest to see this car in person.  Please feel free to me at 440-773-0300 or email for more pictures & details. The car can be seen anytime and is located 20 miles East of Cleveland, Ohio in the village of Gates Mills, Ohio.

2014 Mercedes S-Class priced lower from $92,900*

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

The massively overhauled 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class will start at $92,900, not including a $925 destination fee, when it arrives at US dealers in October. That's a 2.8-percent drop over the 2013 S-Class, although Mercedes is fast to point out that a drop in price doesn't equate with a drop in equipment for the executive sedan.
Besides an extra 20 horsepower from the 4.6-liter, biturbocharged V8, the S550 sports a standard panoramic sunroof, keyless start, a rear-view camera and LED headlights, taillights and interior lights. Adding the German manufacturer's 4Matic all-wheel-drive system bumps the S550's price up to $95,900.
If the S550 doesn't quite cut the mustard, you can wait until November, at which point Mercedes will quite happily sell you the new S63 AMG 4Matic for $139,500. Power is also up on the S63, from a max of 563 ponies with an AMG Performance Package to 577 horsepower as standard on the 2014 model.

Brabus 800 Roadster is a power-mad aristocrat

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

If we're being completely honest, we haven't exactly been in love with the aesthetics of the sixth-generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. It's mostly a front-end issue, with its glowering eagle-eye headlamps and upright, dinner-plate-sized Three-Pointed Star coming across to us as overwrought. That's particularly troublesome for a roadster whose history has of the most elegant designs of all time in its back catalog. Somehow, the new R231 generation's brash visuals seem more at home on this Brabus 800 Roadster to us.
That's probably because the high-dollar German tuner has turned up the wick on the SL's visuals even further, with carbon fiber bodywork, a more aggressive aero kit, matte hood scoop and complex two-finish wheels. It's all-the-way committed to its brashness, in other words - and justifiably so. Anything with 800 horsepower and 1,047 pound-feet of torque has earned the right to look however it wants, right?
Brabus started with the SL65 and its not-exactly-underpowered 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, and went to town, fitting their own turbocharger and intercooler system, along with a less-restrictive exhaust system with driver-selectable sound levels and new engine electronics. The result is a 3.7-second 0-62 mph time, an electronically limited top whack of 217 mph... and one seriously compromised toupée.

In Which Mercedes' Sprinter Becomes A Long-Distance Sherpa
In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat. In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
