This car was imported in 1985 and Federalized at that time. It has a federal sticker on the driver "B" pillar. I am the fourth owner and have had it for 7 years. The previous owner was an independent Mercedes repair shop in Albuquerque,NM, and it was his personal vehicle. He sold it when he and his wife were expecting their third child. His history is that he installed new brakes, overhauled the upper cylinder head, had a new paint job done, replaced the entire interior with a virtually new one, put in a new clutch and updated the A/C with a Nippon Denso compressor using 134A refrigerant, and replaced a non-op Becker Radio with a high line Pioneer CD player. When I got the car, there was some rust in the driver door and both rear quarters as well as the rear bumper ends. The factory cruise was non-op. It also had some transitory cold start problems, but otherwise was a clean and good running car. During my years, I have addressed the rust with new steel, replaced the cold start enrichment system, installed a new Audioviox Cruise control, replaced the instrument light reostat, as well as the left guage cluster- gas, temp and oil pressure. I have rebushed the front suspension and done some light clean up of the engine compartment. This is a nice solid driver quality car that looks good from even 5' away. The paint is glossy and there are only very minor chips due to driving. I have also replaced its windshield and rubber gasket as well as the lower and upper grillwork due to an encounter with a pheasant.There has been NO other body damage; this car is very straight. The rear bumer ends have been replaced with NOS units from MB. I also have some American Spec bumpers that are included in the BIN sale. This car is amazingly comfortable to drive and ride in and could literally be driven anywhere. I have already replaced all its fuel lines and the fuel pump due to the dreaded ethanol, so you should be good to go! This car is leaving to help finance a retirement home.

Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)
X1, 3 Series power BMW back into global luxury autos sales lead
Thu, 14 Mar 2013BMW managed to eke ahead of Audi for the global luxury sales crown in February. According to Bloomberg, BMW saw deliveries swell by 7 percent in February, besting the 3.2 percent jump enjoyed by Audi and giving BMW a 407-unit delivery lead over its rival last month. Mercedes-Benz, meanwhile, continued to falter, with the brand selling some 37,229 fewer machines than BMW, whose factories are running at full capacity to keep up with demand. Models like the X1 (shown above) enjoyed a sales increase of 40 percent in February while the company's bread-and-butter 3 Series jumped by 26 percent.
Mercedes-Benz hopes to stem its continued market share loss with the addition of the entry-level CLA sedan to its portfolio in April. The company is set to roll out an updated version of its cash-cow E-Class at the same time, and a new-generation S-Class will follow along shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, the company is increasing production to meet demand for its A and B-Class models.
2015 Mercedes C-Class order guide leaked
Wed, 23 Apr 2014We may not have an official starting price for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, but as of right now, we can tell you about all the options for the eagerly anticipated new luxury sedan.
Benz Report has the entire order guide for the C-Class, with breakdowns from package pricing to how many different colors, wheel designs and lighting configurations will be available when the new model hits dealers later this year. As we mentioned in our initial review of the C-Class, there will be a pair of engine options, with the now familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder available in both rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations and a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6, which can be had in all-wheel drive, only.
From there, though, the available options are impressive. Much like it does on the current car, Mercedes is offering a pair of packages that sort of define the entire car. With the C300, buyers will have the choice of either a Sport or Luxury package in addition to the base trim, while C400 buyers are limited to the Sport model.
