Im looking to sell a 2004 Mazda Rx-8 that a customer brought to me with a bad engine.
We installed a NEW rebuilt engine that has all new internal seals and gaskets.
Customer doesn't have the funds to pay for the engine replacement ($4,000+)
This is a Texas car which means absolutely NO RUST! The underside of this car is super clean.

-About the car-

Year: 2004
Make: Mazda
Model: Rx8
Mileage: 90k
Engine: 1.3L Rotary
Transmission: 4 speed automatic
Title: Clean and clear Autocheck report provided with sale.

-Condition-

Exterior: 7/10 No major damage, slight hail damage in areas. Looks good.

Interior: 10/10 Interior looks almost flawless. Has had Rx8 floor mats since new carpets are perfect, no major scratches or anything broken.

Drive-train: New engine has less then 500 miles on it. Still in break in process. Runs great has perfect compression. Hot heat. Has no hot start issues like a bad rotary engine would. This engine is ready for 100k + miles ! Transmission is in good shape and works as it should.

Tires: Has brand new tires with less then 500 miles on them.

Brakes: Brakes were replaced with the tires have less then 500 miles as well.

If your in the market for a great looking car that handles and drives well with a sporty feel this car is great.
Has half back doors that open up backwards to allow optimal room to get in and out, surprisingly fitting an adult in the rear seats is actually quiet comfortable.

List of new parts performed a few hundred miles ago.

-New tires
-New transmission fluid
-New coolant
and more..

Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.

Mazda planning 'aggressive' dealer shakeup

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

Mazda has set an ambitious goal of selling 400,000 units by the end of the 2015 Japanese fiscal year in March 2016, and to do that, it's going to need to take some aggressive action. That means that underperforming members of its 637-showroom strong dealer network are about to get the axe.
The purge won't just be limited to dealers that aren't performing, though. Mazda will seek to consolidate poorly located dealers and build new showrooms in better locations. It still isn't clear how many dealers are being targeted or at what point Mazda would end its cull.
This consolidation of dealers is all part of a one-two punch for the Japanese brand, that will also see increased marketing efforts in 35 key areas. Of those markets, Mazda is placing a special emphasis on New York and LA, although there's not much mention of what other regions are being looked at.

Miata driver pulls off hilariously diabolical move in fender-to-fender racing

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

Racing is all about finding the little advantages over competitors that allow you to get ahead. Sometimes those are legitimate means - like being able to take advantage of a better line through a corner - and other times drivers get a little more creative for a leg up over opponents. Sometimes things might even go a little too far. Case in point: just watch the opening of this Mazda MX-5 Cup race from Silverstone in the UK.
According to the YouTube description, we're riding with James Rogers in this video, and he appears to be pretty talented behind the wheel. Rogers has a great start from fifth that has him in third within just a few corners. He starts stalking the top two drivers, who are already having a fantastic race themselves, but then we see that the person in second is clearly willing to do whatever it takes to win. Just watch the video, and you'll see what we mean. Bravo (?) to that racer for some very quick, albeit fiendish, thinking.
