2000 Mazda Mx-5 Miata Low Miles! on 2040-cars
Lowville, New York, United States
*********THIS LISTING ENDS AT 9pm on Sunday August 3rd************ I am selling my wife's miata. The car just was just repainted platinum graphite metallic it is a real paint job, not some back yard job. It is a great car that is very fun to drive. The car has not been beat and is very reliable. Parts are very cheap for miatas and they get great gas mileage. Here is the main info on the miata: 75k original miles Manual transmission Brand new soft top Brand new struts all around Brand new adjustable springs all around 17" wheels w/ low profile tires (90% tread left) Garage vary replica front bumper and side skirts Factory rear mudflaps Black headlights The motor is stock and runs like a top. New front brakes The only defects are: The drivers window is a little slow it is missing the cig lighter (the power outlet works great, but the cig lighter that goes in it is missing). We love having the car and get tons of compliments on it. However the birth of our first child makes having a two seater a non option for us. Here is a chance to own a very sharp car at a great price. This is a turn key car, it needs nothing, no repairs to be done for a long time! The clutch is good, no leaks, it is super reliable. I have a ton of time and money into the car. Priced for a quick sale! Get it early and enjoy it for the whole summer and fall! Please contact me with any questions or if you would like to see it. |

Mazda on sales upswing in Europe but won't build there
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Auto sales in Europe have been a tricky proposition for some years, but Mazda has seen some success on the backs of the CX-5 and new Mazda6. According to a report form Automotive News Europe, though, that doesn't mean we should be looking for the Japanese manufacturer to set up production operations there.
Mazda's European CEO, Jeff Guyton, explained to AN that "Our intention is to have manufacturing scale. That gives you scale economy and quality through repeatability." In other words, a big honking plant in one part of the world is preferable to a half dozen small factories building the same vehicles.
European sales for Mazda are up 5.4 percent in the first half of 2013, with 74,000 units sold. That kicked the Zoom-Zoom brand's market share up from one to 1.2 percent. Small gains, but gains nonetheless. According to Guyton, Mazda would need to sell 200,000 units of just one model in Europe for local production to make sense. Mazda's best European year saw 320,000 units sold across the entire range.
2014 Mazda6 to start at $20,880*
Wed, 19 Dec 2012We got our very first taste of the impressive 2014 Mazda6 back in October, and had more than a few good things to say about the midsizer. One piece of information that was conspicuous by its absence, however, was a sticker price.
Now, with zero pomp and circumstance (not even a press release as of this writing), Mazda has dropped what looks to be official pricing for the 6 on its consumer website.
$20,880 is the asking price for the base Mazda6 Sport with a manual transmission (plus $795 worth of destination charges, for a total of $21,675). Alaska residents will need to cough up $840 for destination. The loaded-up Mazda6 Grand Touring shown on the site will set you back a total of $30,290 (MSRP of $29,495), but it isn't clear if that's the starting price of the Grand Touring trim. Mazda is taking orders for the new 6 right now, and the cars will be available on January 2, 2013.
Dealers think Mazda's new Mexico plant will increase Mazda3 sales by 20%
Mon, 27 Jan 2014Mazda3 sales in the US were down about 15 percent last year to a total of 104,713 units. According to a report from Automotive News, though, the slowdown in sales has been due more to production constraints than demand.
Good news for Mazda dealers, then, that a new plant in Salamanca, Mexico has just come online. Tom Carey, chairman of Mazda's national dealer council, told AN, "We're going to be in good shape because of that Mexico inventory." If estimates prove accurate, sales of the Mazda3 will increase by about 20 percent when the new plant begins production this month.
If those lofty projections come to pass, Mazda will reportedly be on track to exceed 300,000 total sales in the US in 2014, which would represent the brand's highest figures since its 375,000-unit peak in 1994. The brand hopes to sell more than 400,000 vehicles in the US by 2016, and with well-received products like the latest 3 and Mazda6 sedan, such expectations seem quite possible.
